What is the ViVi nova comprimise in all of this? Three different heads? DID from Greece? I hate throwing coin away but this vaping is like fishing lots of gear most is comparitively inexpensive, but when you add it all up wow. I would like to make an investment in some gear that I can work with for a while. I know you all have been in my position at one time. Whats the trick?

the vivi is simply...inferior (for lack of better words at the moment), i really do not care for the VVN, the DUD from COV is probably the cheapest genesis style atomizer you will be able to find

I don't understand why folks tell the OP what he should buy based on their "own" likes when the OP's original question was a Zenesis Hybrid or a ProVari / Z-Atty-Pro Combination. Having owned both of these, I have some input for the OP. With the Hybrid it is a fully mechanical apv so there really is nothing to break as far as switches and electronics etc. However you only get one device and you have no options. The device will last a lifetime if that is what you are looking for. With the combination you will have options when you have to wrap a new coil you can just pop a carto or whatever you want on the provari and take your time with wrapping a new coil on the Zap. With the provari used as a power source for a genesis device, you can adjust your volts to match the coil you have wrapped with a hybrid you have only one option, the right one, or it will vape too hot/cold. Also with the provari the vape will be the same from the beginning to the end of the battery, no drop off when the battery is getting low. You could go as far as calling this regulated voltage. If you decide you want to take a break from genesis type devices you can always use whatever you like on the provari ce4's 5's ...etc. I have had a provari for nearly 2 years now and have never had a problem with it. I have even dropped it on cement and gravel and hard tile in the kitchen. It just does not break. Sure some have had problems but provape looks after you and repairs are relatively inexpensive. So for my 2 year vapeaversary I sold my Zenesis Standard and bought a 2nd ProVari V2 with the blue LED, and a Z-Atty-Pro. I definitely like it better. OP, What have you been using up until now?

In my opinion, I would recommend going for the combination as I think it would give you more options and control over your vape. Good luck and if you need any further advice or help I am just a PM away. PS The word is there will be Hybrids available on Tues or Wed of this week at Electronicstix and the ZAP's will be available at Provape in about a month. I will be buying another ZAP for myself for Christmas.

hrm i suppose....

well here goes: first off, i do own a provari, and while i do not own a ZAP or any ZEN mods, i have played around with them...

i like the zenesis mods, i think they feel as solid as the provari, but you do not have the capability of changing your juice delivery system, you are simply stuck with using the Z atty that has permanently been affixed to the top of the mod....

in addition: the provari has a built in ohm reader, which allows you to fine tune your voltage to whatever resistance coil you wrap with a ZAP....while admittedly you can do math and figure out the resistance of your wrap by measurement and get a proper resistance for the fixed voltage zenesis mods, it is simply more convenient to have variable voltage when it comes to rebuildables.

other things to consider when it comes to rebuildables: any type of genesis/ZEN atty you use will ALWAYS leak if placed on their side due to the placement of the air hole and the way air moves through them....i much prefer the GG vacuum style rebuildable atomizers, as they are nearly perfect, for a few reasons:

airflow adjustment - the GG Penelope and Odysseus atomizers can be adjusted to have a draw customized to suit YOU, you cannot do this with any genesis-style attys because of the singular air hole used to create airflow in the atomizer being exposed directly to the atmosphere instead of being hidden in the threads....the customized draw is my favorite feature of these devices as they simply can fit ANYONE when it comes to airy/tight draw.

no leaks - the GG series do not leak, you can turn them upside down, you can place them on their side. they simply do not leak...unless you turn up the juice valve...speaking of which:

juice flow control - the amount of juice that flows to the wick and coil can be adjusted, depending on wick material, you can turn this up or down with a simple twist of the mouthpiece, which is excellent for when the wick gets too dry or when the atty starts to get flooded.

juice feed to coil - with a genesis the juice feeds up to the top of the device...this means you need to tip the device to get juice to flow up if you like to chain vape....the wicks will pull the juice up to the top where the coil is, but it takes time....and you may be waiting awhile between vapes if you don't tip it.....with the GG attys, the juice flows to the wick when you draw on the device....your draw creates a vacuum that pulls the juice through the wick to the coil, meaning no matter which way you are holding the device, you always get the same result.

ease of use - with a genesis, you'll need to learn to oxidize stainless steel mesh and fashion it into a wick....this can be a bit of a chore to learn right off, and they may form "hot spots" on the wick, which can cause issues with shorts as well as burning juice inside the atty....while you CAN use stainless mesh wick in the GG attys, you don't have to, and can use whatever material you may wish and ease into the mesh later...and once you get past the first assembly, they aren't really that much harder to rebuild than a vivi nova.

all in all, i've found TWO cons in the penelope, one of which is correctable: the correctable being that you cannot see the juice level inside the tank due to the solid stainless steel construction, but kir fanis mods does make a clear tube for the tank that is just as thick as the stock stainless steel tube. the only other issue i have with it is the fact that you cannot use your own drip tip....while this is not a big deal for me, it may be a big deal for someone else...it is a rather nice mouthpiece that comes packed with it, but for some people not being able to use a driptip from their massive collection may be a dealbreaker.

Wow. Very well put Mattias.
