what the difference? I like the price tag on the V3 or whatever version Nev posted.

They look exactly the same. The v5 has an added option and attachment to charge you cell phone or iPod, shows additional info on main screen( battery life, puff counter), and the LCD display option has a few other new choices from the V3. I think its a bit more or a shiny brushed SS than the last versions. Oh, and it has a remove able top cap for easy cleaning or large recessed devices. It's by far my fav regulated mod. I got mine from ExhaleVapors for about $50 when it was 1st released but paid $60 recently for one for my Gf. Anywhere else they're $70-$110.

I want a v.v. tube mod, but I don't want to drop $175 on a provari. (I realize everyone has their own best vape) but I want the opinion of others on what would be comparable to a provari in performance, just a little cheaper. Just give your opinion and I'll research what best fits my needs.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
p.s.
I already have a Vamo. I just want a primary vape, and use the Vamo as a back-up.

If you are sure that you will stick with vaping, drop the money on the ProVari. I also thought the same about dropping that much money on a mod, but after I got it, I have no regrets whatsoever. It is money well-spent. You will read in a lot of the forums that it's the best, and that it's great, etc. coming from a few ego-cs and DCTs, the ProVari with a Protank 2 gave me more flavor and a much better vape than my egos and the DCTs(maybe they are crappy DCTs). I can definitely say that a ProVari is worth the money. Use the Vamo for another month or 2, and get the ProVari. The cheaper mod that you will get will cost you $100 or $125, but it will probably break sooner or later. Now, I don't know many of the other mods, and perhaps they are cheaper than the ProVari, and of pretty decent quality, but that's up to the other people on the forum to recommend - this is just my take on it.

If you do get it, you will like it, it's very well made and it does live up to the hype. However it does not charge your phone, write your papers, or do the dishes :) It just vapes really well. And the one button interface is very simple to navigate, you get used to it quickly.
Since you have time, read up on everything you can, you may decide that you want a mechanical mod.

I've been researching like crazy! I have decided that I want to purchase an expensive mod. The Provari, is the front runner. But, I have time to change my mind. Considering it will be a bit of time before I can afford an expensive mod :( But for now my Vamo is doing me fine! But soon...

If you like dripping seriously look into a REO + RM2

It is the Provari of bottom feeders
