Psst... New People/Lurkers

I was very nervous to post and join and was a lurker for over a month. Rest assured, no sooner than you post your first question, call for help or just say hey I am here, a friendly cat and a mouse will greet you at the door and steer you gently in the right direction. I am referring to Hairball and Dormouse who tirelessly answer all questions and the same questions a million times over with a dedicated patience that really is touching.

After them, you will be greeted and encouraged by many many others who were first welcomed into the fold by the cat and the mouse (or someone before them) and in kind want to make others feel at home from their good example. I imagine this place as a big chain of outstretched hands always someone here to welcome you aboard or encourage you on.

So go ahead, join and post and know we won't laugh and there will be an answer to most any questions you may have about vaping.

I like newbie questions. I learn alot from the answers. Sometimes, even I can offer an answer. Our family on this forum keeps expanding.

Well said; new members don't have to be an 'expert' to share their opinions, likes, dislikes, triumphs, failures, rumors, gossip, whatever; this whole thing only works when everybody contributes something, and its not a race-you don't get a prize for the most posts.

Well said. Dormouse gives detailed advice with step by step instructions and I love her (I hope I'm right here) posts, Hairball is frank and to the point and both are friendly, as is everyone on here. One Big, Happy, vaping Family from all corners of the globe too.

Everyone on here was a newby at some point, taking that first, tentitive step but we have all been there. I'm less than 2 months in but if it is something I have come across I try to reply as others did (and still do) with me.

Come on out and say hello.

Very nice post, couldn't have said it better.....They both have been great and dormouse was the first person to greet me almost a year ago, and to this day I still remember!
Warning: there is an occasional Wolf at the door to great new folks but dont be alarmed...he just like to howl!

Another thing I meant to say, me being a cynic to a certain extent I assumed that if I posted a question I would be told to go look it up. Due to that, I spent weeks scratching my head and reading old posts to try to reverify and understand the little notes I was taking. It seemed daunting. I am stubborn so I just kept reading until I felt I knew enough to be worthy to post.

There's nothing wrong in researching this forum but I'm sad I didn't speak up sooner. It was just hard to believe people are this nice. Or would care. That's mainly why I wrote this post, I've learned to not just appreciate the info here but the fact that there are so many people here who genuinely care about each other and make each other laugh and I wouldn't want anyone else to miss out on that.

As a smoker, you got used to being somewhat ostracized; here you have to unlearn that. It was easy though thanks to all of you

We are here because we all share a VERY sadictive and in this day and age, addiction that is NOT accepted as it once was. We see our lives being taken by something that until we discovered the PV could certainly one day take us from this world and our loved ones. We all know this and are very open to others that share the same want. We want to be better, healthier and here to spend the rest of our days with the ones we hold so dear.

Very good post Shilo. It reminds us all why we're really here.
