Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will try them out. I love the PT but that harshness is more than I can stand! LOL

Are you using PS juice, maybe i am biased... well i am, no doubt about that, but i have definitely noticed the PS juice being consistently amazing on my prodigy and PT.

I have also noticed a couple of other brands of juice that were absolutely unbearable and made me almost gag.

Just my take

hmmmm ....

1) Try blowing out all the excess liquid in the atomizer, completely dry off the atomizer and brass fitting. 4-5 drops of fresh juice on the atomizer, then give it another go. I have to daily blow out my atomizers to keep the burning taste tame.

2) The PT USB is getting roughly 4.2v - 4.4v so its really not that much more of a jump over your standard 3.7v .... Its like an in-between for Prodigy vs. 3.7v devices.

3) Replace atomizer and try again. Harshness will not grow over time ... The PT will be putting out the same power/voltage/amperage today and 6 months from now ... The only thing that can really change is the atomizer :)

Ya, I think you are right Steve, it can ONLY be the atomizer. Hmmmmm I'm gonna try a brand new one on it and see what happens.

Another thing to remember lucky ... You *may* be holding the button down longer now than when you first started due to tolerance... It may sound odd ... But you remember when you first got the PT and it blew your socks off ... chances are, you were probably holding the button down 1-2 seconds shorter than you do now. Your throat and lungs got used to it, so draws got extended, thus pushing past the limit and now burning???? Just a thought .... :) Try 1-2 second shorter draws and you may be right back to kickin .... ...

Thanks Steve. I am having better luck following Casey's earlier suggestion about holding the button only 1-2 sec then drawing a bit longer. That helps a lot. I think I was getting the atty wwwaaayyy too hot.

Awww... very good idea .... nice idea Casey :) Best of luck Frankie!

Sounds like 3.7v is better for you. I couldn't be happier with the vape on my PT, but I used to smoke Old Golds which are really harsh cigarettes. I like to feel it as much as taste it. 5v seems perfect for this for me. Now I just gotta save up for the Prodigy so it's more portable. I think I might wait to find out what the new Prodigy is going to be though.
