PT2 heads fit in PT3?

Ok. I have both the pt2 and pt3. Both are genuine, the pt3 has a resistance of 6.7 and the pt2 is at 2.5. But I was taking apart my pt3 and pt2 to clean them while watching rip trippers video comparing the two and I noticed that his pt3 heads looked alot different than mine. Though mine and his are dual coils, the mesh coming from the coil on mine matches the pt2. Also, the pt2 replacements that I have fit into the pt3 no problem.

Did I get lucky or something? I thought the pt3 heads were different than the pt2.

Have you tried vaping the PT 3 with a PT II head in it? Seem like it will leak, the PT II head is much shorter than the PT 3 head so while it will go in it does not in far enough for the grommet on top of the PT II head to seal against the air flow pipe in the PT 3 tank.

I did read a thread about adding a 2nd grommet to the PT II heads to let it seal. I tried it and got a bit of leaking around it.

No, i didnt try vaping with the pt2 head. I think that you may be right though. It's just that I saw rip trippers video comparing the pt2 and 3 and I saw that his pt3 head was a lot different than mine. I think that kanger redid the heads a little bit, im not sure though

Ok. I found out that the pt3 head i was using was/is messed up. I think perhaps one of coil wraps inside is messed up somehow which provides me with a 6.7 res. Cleaned the clearo and swapped out the coil with a new one @ 2.2 ohms and now it's fantastic!
