Puff counting?

Why are there puff counters on some mods? What exactly is the purpose? It seems like some lame gimmick.

Although I suppose one could use the counter to keep rough tabs on battery charge...

but what qualifies as a puff ? Every time the device activates ? Just for me personally that varies greatly, some are very brief draws and some are long inhales pulling the vapor into my lungs.

could be usefull for people using all-steel stuff like all steel rda's or rta's where they can't see inside.

I prefer to vape like I do everything else. Can't do it anymore or just pass out. But to put a darker, somewhat paranoid spin on it. Think about years in the future when it might be possible to tax or limit vaping by puff count or juice usage. Just a thought...

Computers come with Calculator programs.
Some use them, some don't.
It really does not effect function but is an option for those that would like to use it.

So Lame complaining about something that one was not forced into purchasing or using and likely did not influence end pricing.

I think they come from a time when it was thought that vaping would/could be used to wean ones self off nicotine completely. The counter was useful for keeping track of how well, or if, you were cutting down the intake.

I actually have a Zulu Time clock. It starts at 00 and goes to 23. 13 is 1PM.

I was thinking that just today . I pulled my Vape out of my pocket and said I sure wish there was a date and time on my mod. I wonder why they haven't done that on most mods. I believe I've seen one with a clock/date as a feature. +2 on the idea!!!
