The question is, will it be a strictly at home mod, or will I dare take such an expensive bit of kit out and about with me? I might have to get something I don't mind being knocked around for that. Dunno what though

I take both my Provari and the Semovar to work everyday and leave the mechanical mods at home. They do stay in a padded case but I also do not work out of desk either. If it gets scratched I'll just polish it out. Life is too short to not vape it everyday!!!! :vapor:

lol you make me laugh.

anyways. imagine having the accuracy of the provari with the same, if not even smoother signal, with the added benefit of the VW everyone wishes the provari had.

now add a slightly more elegant and sleeker package that offers the different size battery tubes (if you want them) without 3rd party unmatching rings and adapters, no matter what you use it still looks sleek.

then the topcap is removable and the 510 pin is adjustable so you can always flush mount everything while still getting a good connection.
and the top cap is even with the mod and atty, no reason to buy a separate ring, there are also several different size heads available 14mm and 17mm.
the bottom cap is gold plated and fully adjustable so just about any battery works, not too loose not to tight..

now stuff all that into a tube that has the feel of old fashion Russian style industrial strength engineering.

the whole thing is very modular, there is a mechanical side and bottom buttons coming as well if you want to use the tubes for a mech later on.

you can even customize the LED and button light, adjusting screen brightness or even if the screen, the button, or both come on or stay off when the battery is pressed, it also has 2 separate menus one when on and one when off, with several functions.

I know it's just a steel tube but to actually hold it it drips style and class and you can easily tell this wasnt slapped together in some Chinese sweatshop.
it had its share of problems in the beginning but as soon as any problem appears they stop production and fix the bug, comes with a 1 year warranty also.

The head guy came out and said he want this to be the best mod you can buy and any amount of bad units is too many, and wants everyone to know Svoe Mesto will stand behind their products. 2 years of kayfuns have proven SM can make quality stuff and this is actually the 3rd revision of the semovar, very popular in EU and finally gaining traction in the US.

I know its blasphemy to some, but in my opinion at this time the only thing provape has over the semovar is how soon you will get it back if it needs service.

Your forgot the fact it's modular so if anything does get broken you can buy a new piece rather than send the whole unit back for a repair. I have heard even the chip is easy to fit.

:D..............

but you are correct, there isnt even anything to repair when yo send it in they just pop a whole new chip in and done. in a few cases I have even seen C9 just send the new chip and you ship the old one back. since the latest revision almost no reported probelms

It's largely because of you that I haven't been able to afford any new clothes in 3 years! I knew I shouldn't have asked. :glare:

The Semovar arrived, and I wasted no time in installing a fully charged battery, setting it to 5.5watts and screwing my cartotank on. First impressions, the threads on this thing are like butter. It's very well engineered.

I had heard good things about the vape quality from a DC output rather than PWM, but I was rather doubtful that an existing cartotank could perform better with a Semovar. Well, the Semovar seems to take all the harshness away, without taking away the flavour. It was definitely a nicer vape.

When I get a chance later on I'll attempt my firat build of the Kayfun

I've had my Semovar for several weeks now and am very pleased with it. The precision of manufacture and performance are impressive. I held off spending $200+ on a pv until one came along with the features I wanted in a well designed and executed build. The quality of the Semovar is obvious. I don't intend to test its indestructibility but have little fear of damage to anything other than whatever delivery device I have attached should the worst happen.

The menu system seemed weird to me at first but that was simply because it was unlike the systems I had grown accustomed to. Now I don't think about it.

Money well spent as far as I'm concerned.

I just received my SvoeMesto Friday along with the Kayfun 3.1. I am amazed at both the mod and tank! I have a Provari as well and just sold it! The Kayfun is a dream to build on and very well made. My first coil came out at 1.2 ohms and is an unbelievable vape! You are gonna love this thing...the rumors are true...it's a Provari killer! It has an adjustable center pin that is the downfall of the Provari.

I just had to chime in. I really am enjoying mine. I know some of you look down on clones, but I ordered the full Semovar extended kit, semi polished with hybrid adapter from cloud 9 (309.00 shipped) and have finally received my Kayfun 3.1 clone from Fasttech..... ( I had the lite and russian clones).

This clone from FT matches my Semovar really pretty darn close. Just a report if any of you were interested. The Hybrid adapter seems to give it an "ever so slightly" better vape...(this could be in my mind also..take this with a grain of salt)

No "whistling noise" from this clone.

I would like to have an original (real) 3.1 ES, but at 175.00..... I just cnast seem to pull the trigger.

I still love the ProVari's and will recomend them to anyone in a heartbeat, but I dont use them now myself. Thrasher hit the nail on the head with all of those "little things" that bugged me a bit about the ProVari.

With the Mech stuff coming out for it soon, The Semovar is just the most complete vaping system in the world and seems to be unmatched in the industry.

The Kayfun design has already proven to be the best thing Ive ever vaped through. Even the cheaply made "Rocket" cant be beat for a tremendous vape.

Sorry...Im rambling as usual. Im just glad I hitched my wagon on this ride. I am one very satisfied vapor.

I dont know how to make my photos bigger...

There should be a group or forum for SvoeMesto owners somewhere! Anyone know of one??

I dont think there is. There are very few of us outside of Europe that have these great devices from the posts I've read. Most dont know what they are. I think with the booming popularity of the kayfun's....folks may start wondering.

Ive heard Thrasher talk about them for a while......then Bill's Majic Vapor...and Buzzlove..... and Ref Minor. I had to find out for myself what the deal was.

Anyway....there needs to be a dedicated group/forum as well. This system isnt going away...and I call it a system because thats what it is to me. :toast:

Here is a link to an interesting thread about the Semovar....

I agree, I asked a couple of times for a subforum without reply, hell there is forums with about 2 threads in the specific apv forum so I don't see why an established APV like the Semovar (now upto it's 3rd iteration) shouldn't get one of its own. If nothing else, it would save us annoying Team Provari with our ramblings in their threads.
