Get your sights on your target. Steady your breathing and tune the world out. Relax. Settle yourself into the shot and set your finger on the trigger. As your sights fall through your target, squeeze the trigger. It should be a very smooth squeeze as to not pull your shot. The very moment the firing pin drops, even before it hits the bullet, you know if you did it right or not.
The shot was good.
