So I just got my pump cart system. Set it up, played around with it for a while, and got it down. Works great, but it tastes like the plastic the cart is made of. Its strong enough that I probably won't use it unless someone knows a way to get rid of it. Will it go away after some time? Do I need to rinse and/or clean the cart before I fill it?
I mean it works and would be perfect for me being on the road almost all day, as I'm a dripper as of recent, but I'd rather wait and drip and stoplights, etc if my vape is going to taste like plastic. Thanks in advance for your input!

just like burns said you can remove the rubber plug that has the filler, and wash it ll out, you can remove the filler and wash the silicone peace by itself.

you can check to see if maybe your not getting enough juice to the atty and that might be giving you the dry hit taste but you did say plasticy, so im assuming you might be sensitive to that, so best thing to do is wash it all out.

now if its the atomizer then maybe its not wet enough but let us know and we will see what we can do from that point.

hey badkolo, who are you?? haha like are you the other gotvapes owner?
Yea its like the juice is picking up the plastic flavor from the cart. Dripping on the atty is fine as I use it everyday, as I said before. I'll try cleaning the cart out, what do you think I should clean it with?
The pump cart works great, and I'm bummed that it tastes bad. I'm in my truck most of the day going from customer to customer as a field service tech. I don't like to drip and drive, usually waiting til I get to a stoplight. These pumps would be perfect for on the road. I really want it to work, so I'm willing to fiddle with it some, whereas I'm usually pretty impatient.
Thanks for the help!

i would use pga if possible, if you do use iso please wash it out thouroughly any re wash after that last wash just to be sure.

blowing out excess during the washing process helps remove more so then simply running it under water.

back to the topic.

i would simply use hot to very hot water, a godd 10 minute soak then back for a rinse.
at that point if you rather cleaning it this way by washing the pumcart itself and just the silicone plug(not the filler) i would use hot water and dish washing soap, you can rinse off soap with a good washing and can feel when it is clean. If we trust that process for dishes and the forms and knives and spoon we put into our mouths then this should be an effective way to clean the pumpart, you can press the press the button during the cleaning to make sure no residue is left over in the spring area on either side.

yes im the half owner, chris, djbizzum from youtube

one last tip, you can always adjust the filler ball, thin it out depending how fast you want the juice to flow through, you can also take a dry pull, by pressing the button and taking a drag but not firing your device, this will fill the atty faster. just be careful as to not flood it.

I thought the point of using alcohol to clean attys was that it evaporates quickly and won't leave moisture that could corrode or rust anything in the atty. So if you(or I) soak it in pga and then rinse in water, doesn't that defeat the purpose? And then won't it take much longer to dry and thus longer until its vapeable again(is vapeable a word?)? I'm not the most patient person, and don't want to let my atty(s) dry for days unless I need to(or if its really the better way to do it).
Thanks guys, all my orders from you have arrived quickly, and I like that you have an assortment of all different things. I might have to try out some more of your stuff!

For myself, I find plastic and rubber items soaked over night in a light proof lidded container in hydrogen peroxide is superior to water. I think it is the oxygenation. Things that have metal have a risk of rusting if you soak them in peroxide long enough to do the job. I stol tend to risk that, but thats a personal choice. PGA may work better, but since I can't use it, I can't say.

As for rinsing after alchohol, thats if you are using isopropel alchohol, commonly known as rubbing alchohol, and it is about a toxic to the general population as pga would be to me. Hence the rinsing. Pga doesn't require rinsing as far as I know, and vodka hasn't required rinsing for me, heck I thin juices that are too thick with vodka.
