Hello!

I recently ordered a carto tank and the carto that came with it was terrible. I kept getting constant dry hits.

I'm reading a lot of reviews on websites that carry pre-punched cartos and they say they are not that great and you need to punch them yourself because the hole is too small. I don't have a dremel or a cart-punch tool, so I need to find a vendor that carries punched cartos that are not bad.

Anyone know of a good vendor that has good pre-punched or pre-slotted cartos?

Thanks!

Slotting cartos with a dremel or hacksaw? will leave behind fine metal dust. I know people do the dremel thing but do you really want to be inhaling metal dust. There are so many cheap carto punches out there that anyone can afford. With your own carto punch you can punch the hole exactly where you need it and as large as you need. Most of the laser punched cartos that I've seen have too small of a hole(s) for high VG juice. I haven't tried these large 1 hole cartos yet but I like to place my carto holes where I need them and the prepunched ones might not line up just right.

Go to the nearest home improvement store and buy yourself a self piercing saddle valve. They are about $6, and do the trick.

That's the way to go. Most hardware store's have them. You can make the hole bigger or smaller
depending on the juice. Heck, punch two if you have to. Super easy, super cheap.

Just to clarify, if you mask the area with tape or as I do coat the carto where you are going to slot with Vaseline and it will catch any metal shavings. I've never had an issue. I use a hacksaw not a dremel, much less metal shavings flying around. .02

I am going to try one of these self piercing saddle valves. Never even heard of that?
