Ellery and Maisie very tired! Ellery is on the left and Maisie is on the right.

They have grown so much since these pictures were taken. At their last vet's visit, they both weighed 29 pounds! We'll take more pictures tomorrow or Saturday.

Maisie is definitely the alpha dog. She's not aggressive, but is very stubborn. We've started crate training, and I think that she finally realizes that she's not the pack leader (we are). Ellery is so much like Raleigh was. He loves to kiss and craves affection.

So, the next step for me is to change my avatar picture. We still miss Raleigh a lot. He died four months ago (July 25th), and I still miss him so much. Replacing his picture is going to be difficult, but I will do it eventually.

I love the way puppies smell (now that I can smell)

Cute pics, enjoying the leather couch :)

I absolutely love the smell of Ellery and Maisie. Even better is their puppy breath. :)

They love laying on the leather couch and loveseat. This week, Maisie figured out how to jump on the loveseat!

Div - Maisie and Ellery are taking naps in their crates right now, but I'll definitely hug them for you tonight!

Pam - Great suggestion. Thanks! That's what I'll do. It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since Thumper died.

Techno - Fortunately, I work from home. But, I'm spending a lot of one on one training time with each pup during the day. Plus, they have play time a few times during the day. Both of them love playing tug! At night, we take them for a walk, then more one on one play time. Then we cuddle with them for an hour while we watch a show. Seriously, between the pups and teaching, by the time I go to bed, I'm so tired! But it's a nice tired. :)

Awe! VG thanks for posting the pictures. They are very precious and are so very lucky to have found a home and family as good as yours :) I will look forward to more pictures soon.

PS- I know that Raleigh would be very happy to know that you have opened your home and your heart to them too!

Wow, I remember having a puppy around. My Phoenix (Yellow Lab) was hit by a car. What a sad day. I have her picture with me at all times. I miss her so very much. I haven't been able to get another dog since. I refuse to get one until I have a house with a fenced in back yard. Until that day comes, seeing pics like this make me very happy and keep my hopes up. :)

I live in a condo now, ground floor, but still won't subject a dog to that, just not fair to them. Even if they're in a loving home, they need some space to let loose and have fun. :)
