lol... It's after 5:00 am my time. I can't believe I'm still up. We just took the pups for a walk and I'm hoping they sleep for at least eight hours before waking us up.

Well, I want to see the pics too ... I've been waiting a long time.

It's another late night. I was asleep, but Ellery and Maisie woke me up as they wanted to go out. That's okay though; they go back to sleep for at least eight more hours.

Hubby is off work today, so I'm going to insist that he take new pictures. It's already apparent that Maisie is the alpha dog! We're trying to food train them. Maisie is very smart and sits right away. Ellery is not catching on as fast. He likes to jump up on me and kiss me nonstop. His personality is very similar to what Raleigh's was. Maisie is much more reserved, but that's not surprising since she's the alpha dog. I think she finally figured out that she's not the pack leader (we are!) and is starting to become submissive to us.

I'm so glad we got Ellery and Maisie! They will never replace Raleigh, but they are bringing much happiness into our lives.

Nope - You won't make Maureen mad in this thread. She was very upset when Raleigh died and because of that, I don't think she'll get the thread off track. But, if she does, that's okay.

Going back to bed.

Maureen and Salem - Still no new pics. I'm ready to bash hubby over the head! It takes both of us to take pics (one to hold the dog on a leash and one to take pics). I really wanted to do this on the weekend, but it didn't happen. They are getting huge, so we need to take pics this week. At their last doc. appt. (last Saturday), both weigh almost 30 pounds!

Ellery is a major kisser and loves laying on our laps and kissing us nonstop. Since Maisie is the alpha dog, she's a bit more reserved. But this week, she has started jumping on our laps to kiss and is smiling a lot.

Maisie is very smart. For example, she knows to sit down when she wants to go outside. Ellery isn't catching on as fast, but he for sure knows how to sit to get treats.

Edit: I forgot to mention something. If Maisie starts to bite on my chair, desk, or coffee table, all I have to do is look at her. She backs off and sits down. Such a smart girl!
