Purchased wrong mg strength… Mixing question

Hello all! Some quick advice.
I take a 12mg five pawns Queenside. I accidentally purchased a 6. Now my question is, I assume if I purchase an 18 and mix them… I will be just fine and have my 12.
But what is the best way to mix them. And do I need to leave them for a few hours?.. overnight?

pour them both in a bigger bottle, shake the crap out of it, and vape. I've done this a few times.

If you plan on using it right away, the above.

Otherwise, Don't pour them together, make a batch of the combined in another clean bottle. You can either measure it
with dropper loads or just eyeball it. Eyeballing it here is really close enough.

This way, if you end up needing an extra nic hit during some stressful period, you still have some 18 left. If time passes
and you are ready to drop to 6, you haven't poured all your 6 into the above post bottle beforehand.
