Going to try that tomorrow. I made a small amount of base, and it smells great. I think some of us have tastebuds that pick up certain flavors and lose others - I never could taste the lemon in AIVs lemon loves cake. I've made a couple of your recipes with apricot (which I love) but have yet to taste any apricot - and I know others can, so it's my tastebuds

I agree in the taste bud statement. I couldn't hardly taste anything yesterday, more so the lemon in the Lemon Custard... Lemon Silcily@ 1.5% and Custard at 3%. I kinda went a little higher in both than HIC did.
I made this on 4/26 so it should have had plenty of time to adjust. Don't know if I went too high or just might need to go a little more to my liking.
That is my next experiment.

Don't hesitate to go higher at first - even lots higher - with Lemon Sicily, but do a small batch. All the way up to 8 or 10%, it just gets stronger, no weird flavor changes. If I vape it for more than a few minutes though, I always end up back under 2%. It's like an iron fist in a velvet glove to me.

I really want to get some Limoncello liqueur to sip as I vape Lemon Sicily!

Someone more experienced could probably give you better info, but I've used it twice. Both times at 2% and couldn't even taste it. Even a couple weeks later, it wasn't there. I suppose it's possible all the other flavors dominated it, too. But as far as pie crust goes, when I tried HIC's Frangipane, the apple pie/cookie combination was DELICIOUS! If you haven't made that recipe... you must. MUST. Your taste buds will applaud you.

i dont have all the flavors for HIC's Frangipane but i used what i could and still ended up with a fantastic vape-my next order will get those missing flavors

Yeah, I was missing one flavor... always one flavor, but had no ill effet whatsoever. I'm waiting for an order myself.

Unless they're in your next order list, have you tried any of wllmc's berry recipes? He often talks about how true those are and by the looks of them, they're loaded with flavor. I've seen HIC mention how good the pear is, too.

I'm not much help in the fruit category. I'm more into deep, rich, creamy and bakery.

If you haven't seen this list of flavor pairings, it's really helpful. Someone posted it, so I saved it with my recipes.

Want to make sure you're cognizant this contains Acetoin and Acetylpropionyl. Many in this thread intentionally choose FA and selected TFA flavors to avoid. If not, here's a list of TFA tested flavors which do not contain.

I never much cared for TFA gram cracker, when I tried it, it was more like gram syrup. Now, the Cheesecake Gram Crust is really good and gram cracker-y.

It'll be a sweet one if you use FA Lemon Sicily, but I like it with FA Raspberry. I'd go much lighter on the raspberry than the lemon.

I already had over a hundred flavors, mostly TFA with some Cappelas, Hangsen, Flavor West, OneOnOne, and Flavour Arts. Then I realized that only four were Flavour Art (Cookie 10ml, Melon Cantaloupe 10ml, Vanilla (Tahiti) 30ml, Tiramisu 10ml). I didn't remember I had the Cantelope until after I ordered... gack!!! So now I've got two of those! Maybe I should start a thread in swaps and see if anyone wants to trade a ml here and there since I already noticed I forgot Brandy, Cinnamon, and Grape! Figures huh? It's always something!

HIC's Twisted Java clone has been my ADV since I ran across it a month or so ago. Thanks again and again and again HIC! I really need to replace my recipe for Dragon's Blood. It has both Bavarian Cream and Sweet Cream in it and I make 120mls a week for family and friends. I would like to be able to make a safer replacement for them.

Also really exited about the tic tac recipe! Sounds like it's right up my alley. And the coffees.... my absolute favorites! My god, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas when it's not even Thanksgiving yet! I haven't had this much fun since my sister fell in the well! LOL!

Sorry about the long post but I just had to tell someone! I think I've learned more about DIY in general from this single thread than I have any where else. At least I am approaching it with much more confidence and clarity. wllmc summed the feeling up nicely in an earlier post. If you don't recall it, read the thread again, it won't kill ya! I've read it front to back three times!

Exmarbred - you picked great flavors that will keep you busy for a very long time You're right that Red Summer is Watermelon. 10ml Walnut is nowhere near the lifetime supply that 3ml of Bread Crust will be. BTW, Whipped Cream is a kitchen-only flavor with diacetyl. Wllmc is on the Dragon's Blood, I believe. I didn't know anyone used my TJ clone - really pleases me that it held you over for so long. With all those great flavors and having read this thread 3 times, I'm sure you'll have great recipes to share in no time flat!

That sounds tasty! Whose cranberry are you using?

Yeah - Vienna Cream goes with just about anything! I doubt 2 days in a row go by that I don't use it somehow.
