Puzzled: MadVapes Magneto II - Button Issues

Today, I anxiously opened a package containing a new version of the Magneto II, which I recently ordered from madvapes. I threw a battery in and an atty on top. I quickly became frustrated because the switch performs very poorly. It is difficult to get it to fire consistently. I know this is a widely disputed issue, with some users complaining and others swearing by the button. There are videos and threads on how to service the button. With this in mind, I took the device apart and to my surprise, I CANNOT DISASSEMBLE THE BUTTON on this version of the Magneto. There is a plastic (delrin?) insulator surrounding the magnet that I cannot figure out how to remove.

Am I missing something? All of the other versions I have seen online have a brass ring holding the magnet in place. This can be easily removed to disassemble the button.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this version/button on the Magneto II. Can the button be disassembled? Am I a big dummy?!

Also, there was no manual included in the box. However, the scratch off verification code did work on the SMOK website, so I can only assume it's genuine (not a knock-off of a genuine Chinese product, anyway).

I received my Magneto II yesterday and it has a similar issue with the button...sometimes it simply won't fire. Did you ever resolve this?

Is it possible that the delrin is threaded around the magnet? The switch on the 26650 Stingray X is this way.
