I received 2-801 atomizers with my Prodigy. The first one died on the second day. What is puzzling, is the fact that it wasn't flooded, wasn't dry (used 4 drops) , and when I checked it with a multimeter...it reads 3.4 ohms. In theory, this atty SHOULD be working, but I can't get it to. I have tried cleaning it, but that didn't help. It was vaping well, then stopped deader than a doornail. No heat, no sizzling.....nothing. Is there anything else I can try, or is it a lost cause?

Well, just tried it and it didn't work, and now my other 801 atty has died. I guess the 801's are a terrible "hit or miss". I am still using my original 510 atties that I got 3 months ago, and these didn't last a few days!

I don't know if I will keep trying to use the 801 adapter, or stick with the 510 adapter, that seems to be working better.

By the way, I don't know if it matters....but both of these atties are high bridge.

Dee--I really would give it a second go with the connection as that is what it is--you checked it with a multimeter!!

Sorry Sun, yes...I checked the atty with a multimeter- not the connection, if that is what you mean. I saw on the modders threads about checking atties with the multimeter to "verify" if they are actually dead.

I don't know anything about soldering.....yet, so I don't know what else I can try other than the staple mod. I know I just tried it on both atties in my Prodigy, and it was a no-go. No sizzle and no heat. I thought it might be the 801 adapter, but I don't have a regular 801 battery to test the atties that way.

Dee--might want to pick up a tube of liquid solider and put it on there like you would glue and give it a go---you can get it at many hardware and auto stores. That way you do not have to deal with soldering at all.

OK Sun...where would I apply it, in the same location that I put the staple (try to make a bridge of some type)?

Dee--Just place a drop of it there in the middle right over the hole and let it dry---do not build it up too high as you still want to be able to thread it onto the Adaptor. Worth a go Dee!!!
