So I've had my Ego-T battery for quite a long time, so maybe its just getting old, but it seems to get hot really quick. Its not like hot to touch but after about 10 puffs it gets quite warm. Maybe I'm just paranoid and this is normal, idk :p Might also just be that I like to hit it 10 or so times, set it down for 5 mins then go right back to puffing, then take like an hour or two break.

I get this sometimes when I'm chain vaping, usually when I've convinced myself I don't need 24mg I am fine with the 18mg and puff like a loon to prove it and the battery always gets hot. I don't think it's anything to worry about. If you're using the battery a lot of times in quick succession it's going to heat up which I'd say is normal.

I'm by no means an expert on eGo class batteries; I skipped that phase and went straight to replaceable batteries in mods. However, I'm of the belief that an atomizer can be expected to get hot because of the heating coil but a battery should not. If a battery is getting warm, it's either working too hard or it's giving a warning that something's not right. If a battery is hot to touch, it is defective and should be disposed of.

Since this is an older battery, it has likely lost at least some of its capacity; then you admit to hitting it harder than usual and making it work hard. It is going to react angrily. This can cause some internal damage to the battery and make it unsafe to use.

For peace of mind, get a new battery as soon as you can. Keep the old one just for backup emergency use or dispose of it.

I'm pretty sure its the battery itself that gets hot, though it could be the atty, as its hot right where the two connect, not the entire battery, just the metal pieces that screw together that do. I'm planning to get a basic APV pretty soon, hopefully this one will last till then. I don't think it's hot enough to blow up or anything, I'll just be more careful.
