I am sure most of us have at least one pv disaster story - you know, the kind that tells of pv's lost and damaged beyond repair...

Tonight I was crossing a busy two way street when my ego with a vivi nova slipped out of my purse and hit the road with a sickening thud.

The poor tank fell apart - its little rubber cap, the top cone separated from the threaded collar, the threads on the tank tube separating from the tube body and stuck in the metal threaded sleeves...I frantically gathered the pieces (Moderated)....oh it was gruesome!

juice all over the pavement - parts scattered and scattered some more when a car passed over as I stood on the walk watching helplessly and silently begging for the cars to avoid hitting the battery and parts.

thankfully only the tank has to be replaced.
alas - I spent the movie without my vape:facepalm::(

My first one today. Got juice on my batt post. My favourite 900mah. Decided to clean it. Was too heavy handed and pulled the post completely sideways. Now it.does.not.vape. That 900 has had some knocks from me, and I've dropped it a few times and it carried on fine. But wrenching out the centre post - no hope.

I have a back up too - using my 650mah right now.

Went to a tailgate for the homecoming game today. I usually carry 2 kgo VVs with me. Of course, the one with the vivi nova with the last bit of my favorite juice fell out of my pocket sometime during the drunken daze. Needless to say, I was crushed... Oh well, already placed an order for a new 1100 mah-nster (you see what I did there) twist. Gonna have to run on this single 650 batt till around Tuesday-Wednesday.

I have broken drip tip is my worst casualty this far from dropping something. It seems to me the theme here is ego style batteries and ViVi novas aren't built as tough as battery mods and carto tanks. or at least the higher end tanks. The moral of this story is buy the best quality you can afford We all drop things so this should be a factor when you purchase something.

Two days after receiving my ego 1000mah kit with stardust's, I was trying to clean one of the clearo's. Watched a few vids online and thought, hey, I can do this. So I tried to remove the tank while connected to my Ego-t and it pulled the whole top end off the Ego, snapping the battery wires. I almost cried in disbelief, but luckily I have experience with soldering. I had to resolder the two battery wires back onto the circuit board, then Loctite the top end back into the Ego. Took all of 20 minutes to repair, works like new, but now i know not to do that again.

I was headed into work and dropped my ego twist in the parking lot. It had a T2 attached to it that I had just filled with Green Apple Wintergreen. I picked it up, gave it a quick glance and put it in my pocket. I didn't realize the bottom had cracked and when i put it in my pocket the base completely separated. 2.4mls of juice in my pocket. A big disgusting mess!

I had recently gotten a BB like the one pictured above. Note the protruding power switch. I had tossed my BB into a cargo pants pocket that was hanging in my locker at work. I planned to vape during breaks.

During a break, I went to my locker and reached for my mod in the pocket. It was extremely hot! I found something to protect my hand as I pulled it out. That's when I noticed it was covered in a black oily substance. I'm not sure if this was melted paint or something that vented with the hot gasses. Then I noticed an odd smell in the air. I removed the above battery.

The protruding power switch had become compressed inside my pants pocket, causing the BB to continuously fire until the battery went thermal. It got so hot that it melted the outer skin of the battery and blasted both ends out. User error, lesson learned.

Amazingly, after thorough cleaning, the BB continued to work with a new battery. It had done what it was designed to do by venting the gasses through the power switch. I did have to get the switch replaced a few days later as it stopped working.

Lesson learned: The BB, despite its small size, is not really a pocket-friendly device. I now have a Serenity Gear lanyard for it which can be hung on a hook in my locker.

Oh yes! Do you have a link? I do wear my PV on a lanyard, and I'm planning to get a bolt... More or less the same size

i received my smoktech dct tank and 1.5ohm dct carto. i filled the tank and primed the carto. either i did it wrong, or the carto was dead on arrival. it was my first time using a carto.

first pull, tasted like burned crap. was confused, tried to vape again...terrible. not sure what happened, but never going to try a DCT carto again. using boges w/ valleyvapes triple V pyrex tank and its amazing!

I had a touch switch mod that I somehow got juice on and had it in my pocket. Sat down to wait on the wife in the cell-phone store and felt the heat. Pulled the smoking thing out and used my sock as a pot holder to unscrew it and get the battery out. Circuitry was damaged, it would only kinda' sometimes work after that.

Had another tube mod that I dropped on the edge of a chest and the bottom disk sheared off the rest of the aluminum tube. Scrap another mod.

I've broken plenty of attys and cartos when dropping my ProVari, but it's fine. A little scratched, but just fine. (Hint, no matter how well you think you have blocked off any rolling path of your tube mod, the table that your router table is clamped to is no place for your tube. It will find a way to hit the floor.)

I have an old goat box mod. Threw it in my front pocket of my purse one night to go to dinner. We decided to go shopping for some things and walking around I started smelling this awe full smell. It was like it was following me around! I finally remembered I had put it in there and decided to check on it. It had been firing the whole time! The carto that was on it had the paper around the outside and the glue had melted and there was an oily tar like substance all over the inside of my purse! Brand new purse too! Lesson learned! The box mod stays at home now! I don't even take it outside of the house!
