This is needed. I came up with an interesting dilemma, I mean issue, with my two mods. So I need someone who's capable of taking things apart, fixing. Someone local. This could be a niche for the right person - new opportunities!! Anyway, if there is anyone that could help in the meantime, HELP! Thanks :)

What do you have, and what is wrong with them? Some things are easier to fix than others. Other things, are just not worth fixing..

The problem with this type of repair shop is parts. For pv's from China, there are no exact replacement parts, that I know of. A broken fire button from a Lavatube could be replaced with many other type of buttons but to replace the pcb(printed circuit board) would require the same pcb. Re-glueing or re-soldering is just about all we can do with the Chinese mods unless you have a box full of them that you can take parts from. Generally With the US made Mods, you can always send them back for repair.

Ok well, despite the fact that one of my iPros, the one I barely ever use, the one that had to be fixed after only a couple of hours of use initially, the one that got sent back to notcigs, the one I decided to try out the other night, is not working. I think it can be fixed by checking the connections but I'll have to explore that with notcigs.

But get this, yesterday I'm using the other iPro with a Phiniac tank and it falls on the floor. So the carto with the tank comes off and leaves part of the carto inside the iPro. And I can't see it for the life of me cause it's become part of the iPro - it's the bottom of the carto with the screw grooves. That could be fixed if someone knows how to take things apart and put them back together again, I think.

Insert swear word here.

If I understand the problem you have to get the threaded part of the broken carto still firmly screwed into the "battery section" of the PV. Okay try this:

1. Take a pencil with an erasure on it. The erasure part is the important thing. Or if you feel the need to be brutal use a screwdriver. The pencil erasure will prevent damage to the "battery section" of your PV. In the end if the carto is in their real tight you may have to use the screwdriver anyway.
2. Hold the part of your PV that has the broken carto in it with one hand.
3. Take the pencil in the other hand and press the erasure firmly against the broken part of the carto and turn counter clockwise or unscrew.

Hope I have understood and that this helps.

Great idea. I can't for the life of me see the broken part of the carto though. That's what is making it so difficult to fix. Anyway will have a go at it tonight, but I fear if may need to be taken apart :(.

On second thought can you post pictures of both offending parts: a) the broken cart, and; b) the "Battery section".

Can try later this eve. Here is a pic I found online. The carto obviously screws in the top. When I look inside I can not see anything but screw grooves that look like their part of the iPro - not sure I would capture anything via a pic. If I try to put in a different carto however, it won't screw all the way in. I've tried picking inside with a screwdriver but don't want to go too far and ruin the iPro's grooves.

Also added info: I have looked with a flashlight shining inside and a magnifying glass.

Have you tried different Cartos?

Oh yes of course. The original carto won't screw into anything anymore, it's a broken.

This is an edit but I'll leave it here any ... just in case:

Sorry poorly written question. Have you tried screwing new/unused and different carts.

Oh Oh Oh it just occurred to me 'cause I've done this before. Does you iPro need a connector to fit the carto to the iPro????

The actual photo's would be ideal

Looks like I won't have time tonight to take pics, hopefully tomorrow. Doubt that you'll see anything in them though :)

Alrighty then.... One last thought if the erasure is too big to fit, use a large elastic band and wrap it around the tip of the screw driver. I'll be on the board tonight so let me know how things go.

i think the threads of your carto snapped off and are now at the bottom of your PV's connector...

only way to fish it out is with a small pick and a lot of patience... you have to unscrew the fragments of the carto from the connector.

Its a very vague solution, but i was never good at explaining things if not in person...

It's happened to me before, a safety pin and 10 minutes of cursing got it out.

* as mentioned something like an eraser end would be softer and keep you from marring the threads.

Thanks BuzzKilla.

I cursed a lot longer than 10 minutes so far, a little more won't hurt. Yes the threads are stuck but only part of the carto threads broke off, and I can't see where that part is. So it's a little nerve racking cause I don't know if I'm picking at the iPro threads or not.

Never would I have imagined carto threads breaking off...
