Blu doesn't compare to other kr808 batteries, like the vapor4life ones or the smokeless image ones!! Just so you know....

Could you elaborate? Do you get better vapor production, flavor, etc... out of other KR808 batts? I know she tried the Blu and said she couldn't tell she was smoking and tasted like warm air (methol lights carto).

I wanted to give a small update. I got some samplers in and think I am getting closer to having her set. She still doesn't like the flavor (have more on the way) but she felt the draw was less harsh. Still on 3.7V with 1.5Ohm atty with 18MG PG/VG mix. Next batch of samplers I am going to step down to 11MG and if I understand what I am learning on the forum etc... try a higher PG or 100% PG as I think she is uncomfortable with the temperature of the vape. (Higher PG means cooler vape correct?) I also think I will use a 3.0 ohm atty. Definitely will try some of the vendors you guys suggested. I really appreciate all the help and will keep you guys updated. Hopefully I find a good setup that works for her :)

If you look around here on the forum, especially new members forum where people just bought blu kits, you will see - blu is usually not recommended here. They are not a good kr808 kit. BUT sometimes they work in the sense that they get people started on e-cigs, but they usually are not using their blu long and upgrade soon afterwards. But for vapor4life kits, or smokeless image kits, which are also kr808, a lot of people are very satisfied with them. Better draw, longer cut off times, better cartos and better flavors, as well as excellent customer service from these companies, make them great. I use both and like them both.
Tho I have not found a juice I like yet from smokeless image, tho I hear there ry4 is good. But v4l has a lot of juices and I have a few a like there. I get most of my juices from other companies, but for kr808 hardware, both of these companies are great and blow blu out of the water.

I have NOT heard that using 100% pg makes for a cooler vape. Your set up - 1.5 on 3.7 volts, makes for a hot vape.

PM me if u decide to start her out with a kr808 kit from one of these companies and I will help you out. Most of us start with a cig sized kit, kr808s or 510s, and a variety of juices to try, then go to fancier stuff later from there. I now also have a couple vv egos and a couple box mods, but I still use my kr808s too.

Ok... I promised I would update everyone here. I finally got my wife converted to vaping she took the plunge 3+ days ago. She has been using my EGO battery I got with my DCA Starter Kit. She is currently enjoying it with AVEJuice Hype 12MG. I am extremely proud of her because I know how hesitant she was to abandon the analogs. I believe she even joined to forums, although I don't think she has posted yet (I do know she is reading the forums and learning). I appreciate everyones help. Now I would like to find a good mod for her. She loves the form factor of the EGO. She doesn't like the feel of my ICON or Prodigy. Does anyone know of a good mod that may work? She wants something long and skinny. I would like to find something with replaceable batteries, but maybe more EGO's or equivalent is the answer. If so anyone know the best place to get them? I want to make sure she has backups etc... in case her current one flakes out. Thanks for all of your help I really do appreciate it!

I dunno what's up with these Virginia Slims Deluxe Ultralight Menthol 100 smokers, but they do seem to be a picky bunch. I have the exact same problem with my wife. I'm trying to get her to switch off her cigs but every menthol she tries has some problem. That one's too weak. That one's too strong. That one has a weird aftertaste. On and on.

So, if you do find something she likes well enough to get her off cigs, I would sure like to hear it. The only one my wife has tried that seems almost good is BlueMist Snow.

Keep the cartos topped off. I think the menthol flavor fades fairly quickly as the juice is burned off.

Good luck!

She has been off of them for 3+ days on Hype from AVEJuice.com. It took a little convincing but once she finally gave non menthols a shot it stuck. I definitely agree. She hated all the menthols we tried and now I am vaping all these samples. However, I know that now she is hooked she is interested in some flavors from Mrs T's Bakery, like Snickerdoodle and Sweet Tea. So the good thing is now she is interested enough to be looking for other flavors to try and hasn't had an analog in 3 days. BTW... Hype was one of my all day vapes. Now I don't get to use the Hype and stick to my Gorilla Juice and Boba's, but fine with me. I will definitely be ordering a big ole batch of Hype for both of us soon.

The other tip I could give you is to let her know failing is OK. My wife was worried that if she tried and had to use an analog a day or so in she would fail. I told her cross that bridge when it happens, as having 1 or 2 analogs is better than 1-2 packs. Now she is extremely proud of herself for last 3+ days and isn't looking back.

Here's a good ego-type, 22 hour removable battery product you may want to consider. I personally don't use the cone, but as you can see, they are available to give it a more sleek look. This is considered a mini-mod and it is not the eGo e-power that has the switch issue often discussed on the forums. It is 510 thread so all your current cartos, etc will work great. I hope it gives you an idea of what is available to meet your wife's needs.

Best wishes to you both!!

And "mine" loaded with a standard sized carto sitting behind my first PV, my 510 skinny, to show size proportion.
