PVA-40 crowdfunding is live on Indigogo

I have zero affiliation with PVA. Just thought that some might be interested. Little bit of long wait (April 2015), just FYI. Anyway, there ya go.

Given that I already have two dna-40 devices, I'm not even sure why I'm looking at this mod. :p

I did notice this update on the indigogo campaign:

Delivery Time of April 2015 is really just to be safe so no one is let down.

However, we are realistically shooting for early February. The main issue is Chinese New Years, if we don't make early February, then China will be on vacation forever. Hence the April promise. We are very optimistic for February.

So, if you're willing to roll the dice a little you may get it in February. I may snipe a "layway" perk level if it looks like they're going to hit the goal... And there's the bad idea bears talking again.

I went in on this. Glad we made the goal. I have a VS rDNA that I'll also upgrade to DNA40, too. But what really appealed to me was the price point of the PVA 40 and the dual 18650's.

Also, I'm sure by the time the PVA 40 is shipping and I upgrade the rDNA, there will be an abundance of Ni200 builds out there. So the April date is not so bad for me.

I got in on this a couple days ago. The price point for a DNA 40 did it for me, and I'm betting they'll get at least the 2nd run of the chips, hopefully without all of the issues in the 1st run.

Also had pretty much had all of the other features I would want - dual 18650s, spring-loaded center pin, big fire button, USB charging, top deck with no access to battery/chip.

It's an authentic Evolv DNA40 chip. There are numerous references to that in the videos and info on the Indiegogo site and Peg's site.

Thanks. I misread the price and hadn't listened to the video. I just thought if it was a Evolv chip it would have been displayed prominently on the website. Anyway. it looks like it's going to be a nice APV.

Waves to Robin1....lol

Will someone PLEASE ask him to confirm and do a video on how the internals will be constructed, all I have seen is how the outside will look. I am really surprised how many people bought into this without knowing this bit of vital information.

how many ways can you do the internals? you have a board,a 510, buttons, and a battery holder.
obviously this is another attempt of you and your buddies to shut down yet another thread (waves to Robin1) really!!!! i'm wondering what you and your buddies are so scared of that you keep hijacking these threads with your rude remarks until one of the Mod's shut it down.

They are not going to shut it down if everyone remains civil, and I have no intentions of being anything but. I waved to Robin1 cause it was a safe bet the thread title made her spidey senses tingle.

As to the internals, are you saying the wiring, will hot glue be used, will there be protection for batteries put in wrong (beyond what the DNA board protects you from), are not important questions that people should be asking?

Peg's motto is "question everything" and you all are buying a first run APV being constructed in China, by a company with no experience with DNA chips, you should want to know every detail.

Edit: In fact, looking at their FB page, have they ever made a regulated device? Hell, is Ivogo even the ones doing the internals?

yes Randy F i see your point, but the way i see it Pegs reputation is on the line, would you use hot glue and crappy wiring, me i would not if i'm planing on staying in the vaping community.if this box turns out to be a piece of junk it'll be all over the internet, and i don't believe Peg would risk that.
the reason the internals are not being questioned because it's just assumed that if he is going to have it professionally manufactured. that the internals will be done professionally.
this project has almost doubled it's goal on indiegogo, so are you (and your buddies) trying to say that many people are wrong about this project? there is more to your motives than trying to help the people that are participating in this project.
if your not interested in this project stay out of it, and let the people who are, post our comments without all the negativity. i for one, can afford to take the chance on a project that i believe will be worth the end results. i wont to believe that there are other people on this forum that feel the same way.

Peg should welcome criticism, and everyone that follows him should welcome it, isn't that what his YT channel is based around. How many videos has he done, using Goolgefu to dive deep into a company in an attempt to "get the facts". The Sony VTC video comes to mind off the top of my head.

Back to the PVA40. What exactly are you basing your assumption that it will be manufactured professionally? How it will be done and what will be used is COMPLETELY unknown and you have zero products either from peg or Ivogo to to draw a conclusion from. Companies that do regulated devices on a regular basis commonly have issues with first run devices. You are putting your faith in a YT guy and company that pumps out RDA and mech clones?

Do you really want to know my motivation for always bringing these questions up, because there is still time for him to do it right, and enough people start to bring up the questions maybe he won't cheap out on the inside. This is the same guy that just made a video asking people to lump their contributions together so he can save a few cents in PayPal fees....lol, I'm sure he isn't the type to look for every cost savings possible. I mean the 510 is "pretty much the same thing" right, because China isn't known for their 1:1 clones. Maybe he will be sure to include protection against putting the batteries in opposite of each other, remember, Ivogo has no experience with regulated mods, much less dual battery devices. I don't know much about wires, but I have seen that the same gauge wire can be very different in quality.

As much as I would love to see peg fall on his face with this, because I think he is using the community to build his "business" (I use that term lightly) under a false pretense, I really don't want to see the people who put their faith in this guy get a poorly done mod. I am not here to attack anyone, I'm here to ask the questions that you should already have the answers to.

if you have so many questions, why don't you ask Peg yourself? he's not that hard to get hold of. i e-mail him all the time when i have a question, and he always gets back to me. but that's not the point is it??? no you will not be happy until the moderator shuts this thread down like some of the others. so i will leave it with you so you can play your silly little game. you have already wasted enough of my time
P.S. there's constructive criticism and then there's you
