Q: Vapre 51 - Help me decide

I was looking on the litecigusa.net and truesmokers.com site for the manual 401 batteries, and seen the new vapre 51. When I first started vaping I refused to get a "mod" because they always seemed to bulky for me, but after inspecting this new mod it seems not much larger than my 510.

I do have a first questions though to help me decide if it is worth purchasing.
1. How is the flavor compared to a 510 or 401? (personally I only use my 401 now because of the flavor difference)
2. How is the throat hit compared to a 510 or 401?
3. How long is the battery life?

Hey Trox...I have the Vapre51 and it is awesome! You can use 901, 801, 510 and M201 attys with it. You will need and adapter for the 901 and the 510.

I started out using the 801 atty and it was pretty good, but when I put the M201 on it, wow, what a hit!! The flavor is good too. Also with the M201 you can take advantage of the airflow system on the side of the Vapre which will have you in a coughing fit if you're not careful. The throat hit is great, but, as will all vaporizors it depends on the juice you use and the nic level. I use anywhere between 16, 18, and 24 MG nic levels but with the Vapre51 I usually don't go above 18. the batt life also depends on how much you vape. I usually get about 6 hours of frequent vaping off of a batt before I replace it with a freshly charged one. It will still go longer than 6 but the vaper volume decreases quite a bit. Again, I recommend the Vapre51, it's a great ecig. You can get everything you need from Shawn at litecigusa.net. He has good prices too.

I have the VP1, same as the vapre 51..but I am getting only 2 hours from the batt! Same as the 901. What am I doing wrong? I have the 901 adapter as well as 801 attys. It's the same with both.
I am using a IRC 10440 3.7V 360mAh It's the royal blue protected Batt.

It's the capacity rating of your battery - 360mAh (milliamp hours), or .36 amp hours. The higher the rating the longer they last. Using an 18650 2400mAh for my Chuck, it goes a solid 8+ hours of consistently heavy vaping.

Thanks MHR, but the Chuck uses a big batt doesn't it? This only uses a AAA style batt. Is there a better one that I can use then the one stated?

Anything that's compatible with the device with a higher mAh rating. Tried checking the sites posted above because I'm not familiar with the Vapre 51, but they seem to be down atm...

I've had the VP1 myself for almost 2 months now (same as the Vapre51), and I was only getting about 2 hours from the 10440 batteries as well. Given the mAh rating of the batts, 2 hours of semi-heavy use is about right...

I've kind of held my tongue during all of the Vapre51 excitement floating around here, hearing users getting so pumped up about getting a 'big battery mod'. Sure, you can easily replace the 10440 batts with fresh sets when they die off, but in truth the battery life is maybe 2 times that of what you'd get from a 'standard' penstyle battery. Expecting more will likely lead to disappointment.

Also, you will not find a 10440 battery with a mAh rating higher than ~360 - it's just a limitation of the battery size. Some from DealExtreme are rated at 500 mAh, but when tested they too come in at about ~360. So, this is the best you're probably going to do off of these batteries.

I got one of the 1st generation VP-1's and also one of the newer ones. The older VP-1's are about an inch to an inch and a half shorter, but take the same battery. I get about the same amount of time as you....about 2 hours from steady vaping. But the reason I got mine was in case of a ban, I can still get batteries for it and I wouldn't be limited to e-cig batteries, in case they stopped shipment of them. I love the size of the VP-1. I like the 1st generation better, but still like the newer one. I just got extra batteries and carry the battery case with me and just switch them when I need to.

That's the reason I decided on the Protege by Puresmoker. Small device, but uses a 14500, 900 mah battery so the batt life should be better. I also like the quality of the Protege over the VP1or 2...JMO. Plus, I wasn't too thrilled with Vaprlife's warranty. If I'm spending close to 100 bucks I expect more than 30(litecig) or 60(vaprlife) days. I see Truesmoker changed theirs to 90 days, but that still isn't enough for me personally. Puresmoker's is 6 months. If I decide on a bigger mod, I would go with one of these

I tried it...And let me tell you something...It's the biggest lie in the e-cig world:1.the first lie is that they are saying you can use it with many other e-cig...In fact the size of the battery end is identical to the M201 and DSE 801...So if that's true then this is true for these two.2.for it's price you can buy 10 DSE801 or M201 Batteries and use them.3.It's battery does not last one hour ...Much less than the M201 and you need to keeep charging and replacing...4.The size is big and the wight is heavy.5When you put the battery in,you have to try to put the cover 10 times untill you secceed because it's too thin...6.No vapor because it has big wholes...So you vaping fresh air...And again,why not to get 10 batteries of the great M201 for it's price..But if you are getting one,then from litecig

I think the VP1 is a good product! While it's true that I would get a VP2 if I had it to do again, for the bigger batt. The VP2 uses the same batt as my NicoStick and that lasts 7 hours.
The VP1 does what it is suposed to do, it delivers flavor, vapor and is easy to use. The lights are pretty, the battery is easy to change.
The best thing about the VP1 is the adapter, I got a 901 adapter because the 901 is my favorite device. I can also use a Vapor King cartomiser with the 901 adapter because of the hole in the adapter. That makes for dripping free trips!
I never wanted a big mod. 5 or 6 volts is too much for me, I don't like throat hits or high nic. I am such a wimp!
I am glad to know I am not doing anything wrong by getting only two hours of vape time per batt! Thanks for the advice.
