My observations on a first go with a Boge disposable 510 :

1. charge it first- claims to come fully charged; however, saw inconsistent performance out of the battery until I charged it for a few hours.

2. Use the Boge cart that comes with the unit- read on the forum that many folks find the 901 whistle tip to perform better on the 510 atty in comparison to stock carts, so I ordered some to go with the Q510. Bad move, as on my unit, battery activation proved to be inconsistent with the 901 cart, but acceptable with the Boge round tip ( little sucker is leaky though, not a biggie as I prefer to drip).

3. Forget cartos- at least on my unit a 510 cartomizer falls far short of satisfactory ( of course I've been vaping 510 cartos off a KR808 manual passthru, so doubt I would find the carto acceptable off even a manual 510 batt, given Scotbee's voltage readings regarding the 510 and KR808).

4. Good atty: ordered a Joye 510 along with the Q510 ( just had to see what all the fuss was about regarding 510s). The Joye is a piece of s#@t, haven't tasted anything that nasty since someone talked me into chewing a fresh Peyote button back in high school. WTF is Joye building these things out of? Guess I'll try pulling the bridge and wick out to make a straight dripper in hopes of salvaging the thing. The Boge wasn't to nasty even during break in period.

5. Decent vapor, not much throat hit, with juices I consider good for marginal
TH machines ( Dekang Red Cow, 555).

All in all, worth 10$, given the decent atty.

(full disclaimer- 8 months dipping a Smoore 401{same batts and one of the original attys still working, used M201 for 2 months off a passthru till PT died, have sampled various other e-cigs at local ' cafe'- still think the M401 is pretty damn good, provided you toss the carts&dip; albeit, the KR808 PT with 510 carto rocks, comparable vapor to 201 with better TH).

An interesting development with the Q510 atty: still working fine off the disposable battery, but when I put it on my KR808 passthru with adapter, one puff, and my Kensington crashes ( my preferred method of using a PT). Not happening with the 510 cartos, or the Joye 510 atty off the PT. I'm assuming
(you know what they say 'bout that), the Q's resistance has suddenly gotten lower, pulling enough current off the Kensington to trip safety feature. Any thoughts on this out there?

At myself:oops:. When I ordered the Q510, I also ordered a Joye atty, and of course opened both at same time, promptly mixing up which was which. Didn't realize it until getting another Q510. So it was the Boge that tasted so nasty( fine now); the Joye that has lower resistance; the Boge that floods much easier with dripping; the Joye that will accept a 901 cart ( but still a little funky battery activation); the Boge that needs a 901 whistle tip cut-off right at the beginning of the 'D'.

Some updated observations on Q510:
original still going strong
when straight dripping, battery activation becomes very inconsistent as atty becomes dry
easy to cut/peel off plastic wrap on battery, leaving attractive stainless steel battery.

Additionally, Shawn over at Litecig has good Joye 510 attys in stock
