One of my beloved QP Jug Mini's has thoroughly locked up, both the AF and fill ring. When I do manage to lift the latter a bit it snaps hard upwards. So I wonder if there's a swollen o-ring or other part beneath it. The AF ring is locked on full open and doesn't budge.

Are there any video sources available on a complete disassembly?

Give a shout when you can @Shawn Hoefer, @Letitia or any of you fine folks. Help me solve this riddle.

Surprised there isn't much out there on this device. Mebe a good sign my problem may be rare. For info purposes, I decided to do a deep clean in the ultrasound and simply left it out to dry rather than reassembling and recharging it. Had never encountered this before with any of my others. Admittedly the assembly is very tight (a good thing).

Thanks for the comeback Shawn. Perhaps someone else may chime in. I did send an inquiry to QPD. Good idea.

Good luck. :)

When was the Last Time you used it?

An O-Ring can Swell. But that usually happens very Quickly after coming in contact with something Swell-able.

Many times, what can happen is the Direct Opposite. The O-Ring Dries Out where it makes contact. So it Sticks to the metal.

You might try Soaking the Atomizer in a Shot Glass of PG or VG. And see if that Helps

Sorry to hear @Letitia. A shame but I'm not giving up on this quite just yet.

The drag seems behind the fill ring (not the o-ring to which it seats closed). Perhaps an o-ring or custom grommet sits between it and the AF ring. I've never seen one of these broken down any further than the base. And it worked flawlessly until I did a thorough clean and full dry. Perhaps as you say @zoiDman, too dry. This unit's always been a tad tight. It may well be that no further disassembly is possible without mangling the internals. So if anybody's been able to strip it further…any suggestions?

Good luck. :)

Well I ran across Jay Haze's review on the Juggerknot

…and apparently the rta is fully press-fitted.

Still waiting for QP's advice, hopefully.

Think I'll go with your suggest @zoiDman and restore the tank to a functional state of wetness. I do suspect a less than perfect state of a fitting. Just can't imagine how it might have mangled as the rings have worked so flawlessly, if tight.

Regardless, I'm in the market for a replacement (authentic) if anyone's willing to cut one loose.

Good luck. :)

It seems like a Painless attempt at a Fix. With the Only Downside of maybe wasting 10ml or 20ml's of PG.

I'm Not super Confident that it will Fit It. But ya Never Know. And Nothing Ventured - Nothing Lost applies.

Well the third time's the charm I guess.

I'd cautiously tried Jay's approach to loosening the rings but no lucky. After a short stint in some VG and a fat rubber band 'round the thin AF ring a firm twist of the needle-nose did it…voila. This eased the fill ring as well.

Didn't think I was gonna pull this one out of the fire but I guess there's something to be said for the adage of…If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.

Good luck and thanks all. :)

p.s. Before I got wise and used a microfiber towel to hold the base, I did paper-cut up my fingers quite nicely trying to delicately hold on to the sharp edges of the tank's frames. So careful if you try this.

To their credit, I did get a reply from QPD which was nice.

Meantime, the JK is working better than happy.

(I guess some things need a little persuasion.)

Good luck. :)

Boy I've got some objects for that solution.

Good luck. :)
