Just checking in, been absent a few days .. struggling over here in Minnesota, but I'll be fine. (hopefully) Sent my wounded box to ya Steve, check with me before sending it back, I might want another 3.7v for a friend.

I am using a Dual Coil Cartomizer - 2.5 ohm, 3.5ml, Jumbo XXXL - Clear w/drip tip (from CigarMan @ Smoktek) on my other 5v box and it's fantastic. Love how much it holds, and that I can see my juice. Gives a super nice warm vape and it lasts forever. Massive vapor. Easy to fill, just drip juice down the side. Will definitely be getting more of these babies. They are on sale right now for $3.50 ea -- not too shabby considering how much they hold. (and compared to some other 3.5ml ones that run about 8.95-11.95 ea)

Now I must crawl back into the woodwork for a bit. Vape on my fellow FBM friends!

Your wounded box is fixed up good as new. (you still have a violet LED) I was going to ship tomrrow. It came today in the mail. If you can let me know what your friend wants by morning, I will ship it out with your box, and we can settle up later. I am really liking this 2.5 xxl a lot! Rob, I am glad you ordered more. Its the perfect size on the 5v and VV (Cleo, try this thing at about 5.5 maybe even 6v if you have a vv. Yeah I was waiting for him to get the 2.5 in clear .. haven't checked if they came in this time. I am addicted to the clears now, ,I can see when I need to top off and no more burning up cartos. I tend to just vape nonstop without thinking about it, the clears remind me to top off. But I'll definitely try them when he gets them (if he has them)

To answer the last question, the PV see's total resistance, so 1.5Ω is it. As Steve said, I'm out of the 2.5Ω XXL's, but do have the 1.5Ω XXL's in stock, which are great on 3.7v devices

Wow! Gotta agree with you there cigarman. Put that 1.5Ω loaded with ry4 on my 3.7, man the flavor and vapor are excellent. Guess I'm gonna have to keep a couple of these around. Thanks for the info on these.

Okay I admit I haven't paid attention so I got a question.

Been busy buying new stuff for the house but if there is enough extra spending money left, I want to buy a (maybe two) VV.
What type batteries do I need? How long will they last? Do I need a special charger for the batteries (got one for the 14500).

Your charger will work just fine. The vv uses 2 14500 batteries, and is the same size as the 5v box mod.

The vv is $38 and I can also include the LED. Let me know if you are intersted. Also, thanks again for the wonderful welcome to the veterans group!

Just another quick question. Is there a better battery to use than the 14500? Last ones I bought aren't standing up to the Clearos.

Hmm. not sure why they would not stand up. I use the vv with dual coils and it rocks. I do believe a higher ohm dual coil is better on the vv, but that is my opinion.

yeah if you are using the 1.5 duals on 5v, its going to shut you down. You need at least a 2.5 on 5v. I think the magic trick is that roughly half the volts is the minimum ohms you can use.

3.7v - 1.4 ohms or higher, 5 volts .. 2.5 ohm or higher 6v - 3 ohms or higher. There might be some wiggle room in there ... I think some ppl have gotten away with using 2.0 on a 5v.

Hey Brian!

So, I was using this xxl dual coil 2.5 ohm, and I am on day 3 and its still awesome. I think I am on my 3rd fill. I decided to stick my little voltage meter on it to see what voltage I have been vaping, since I turned it up quite a bit above the 5v mark I made on my vv pot. Wow! 6.7 volts and it is tasting great. As I mentioned before, I read that these were made for high voltage devices. Anyone with a 6 volt Chuck (and a FoxyBoxMods vv) would be in heaven with these.
