I agree-- the variable would be ideal. I guess I forgot to mention that I don't have much $$ to throw at this and was hoping the 3.7 would give me a little punch and I wouldn't have to go buy expensive cartos as I would if I got the 5Vor the variable. On my budget I really cringe at the thought of paying $3 or more for one carto. Thanks for the input folks.

Redcat, the 3.7v mods are a true 3.7, and actually charge up to 4.2 volts. It provides a very good vape up until the end of the charge. You really know when its time to recharge, because the power falls off.

The real variable in performance lies with the atties and cartos you use, and what ohm rating in which you use.

If you purchase a 3.7v kit from me, you have everything you will need to try it out, including a spare battery that you can keep charged. I will throw in one of my personal smoktech 1.6 ohm dual coils. I think you will be amazed with their performance. Boge cartos are a good value, but I enjoy the dual so much more. I find it very worth the extra buck per carto with the dual coils. I get a good 4 days use out of mine which comes to about 50 cents per day for cartos. I know many others get longer, and even wash them out. I just toss them in a bag, and some day I may get motivated to try and wash them out.

redcat1948 - I own a GLV-2 and a FBM 5v, however my every day take to work PV is two of Steve's 3.7's with 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos. And the cartos are not expensive. I like the clears so you can see when they need filling and get 5 for $7.95. Just shop around and give your favorite vendor a chance to price match. You'll love the 3.7 with a LR carto.

I will be out and away from the computer for a few hours tonight, but will respond to PMs and emails when I get home. Any orders made tonight will be filled and invoiced. Its ok to pay the invoice in the morning, if your order is complete with Box type, whether or not you need a complete kit, and LED color choice. Prices are listed in the first post of this thread.

VV boxes in black are now available for immediate shipping. Prices are $38 for the mod, and $56 as a kit.

Thanks!

Hi there FBM's :) Been awhile since I posted here :) Things are going good for recouperating surgery :) Go back to work next Tuesday :) Been enjoying my time at home with hubby :) He's been spoiling me terrible, but that is not unusual for him to do that, for he has been doing that for the last almost 25 years :)
Don't forget Christmas is almost here :) Some of the stores are already starting to do Christmas. So before you spend all your hard earned worked money on Christmas out there, remember your love ones, family & friends, that need to be off of analogs. Give them the very best that money can buy at an inexpensive price :) Purchase a FBM!!!!

Hugs to all,
Skeeterkck

I know your folks who have been using the FoxyBox will know the answers to these questions & save me a ton of time & money. This will be my first mod purchase so have spent most of the day researching supplies I'll need in the future such as more batts, spare charger, voltimeter (something I've never even seen except in pictures). So a few questions:
1) I notice there are Trustfires & Ultrafires, 3.6's and 3.7's, in batts & chargers. Do I stick with Ultrafire 3.7's because they're the best & fits the FB case?
2) What charger (for a spare) is best? I can see myself running a couple of these at a time and may need to charge 3 or 4 batteries at once...course this item if available probably costs twice as much.
3) Can I find this stuff at the local Walmart? If not, is there one vendor I can go to to get all of this at once (and pay less for shipping)?
4) Is there a thread here for electrical dummies like me to explain voltimeters and how they're used? I'm not planning on buying a soldering iron & being a modder, just checking volts of batteries, like Steve recommends. The cheaper the better but needs to be reliable. Money is short but there's no sense in buying junk.

I did find a site called dealextreme.com which has a ton of electrical supplies including batts, chargers, etc. Don't know anything about them, just got lost looking at all of their stuff. I get REAL tired of paying shipping for every little thing I need.

Recommendations please....and of course thanks for all the great advice. Am so looking forward to receiving my first FB!

Redcat, my suggestion would be to go to your Radio Shack and find a inexpensive multi-meter. Your 3.7v, 5v, batteries & chargers you can get them from FBM :) That way your shipping won't be so expensive buying every little thing separately :) If you are thinking of getting both mods, just do it all at once and get what you need from Steve :) It will save you shipping in the long run :) I hope that helps :) I have 2-3.7v and a 5v mods from Steve :) The all work wonderfully great :) I also got my batteries from Steve too :) Personally I like the UltraFire batteries best on Steve's mods :)
Useful videos for mulitmeters:
How to Use a Multimeter
Ohm's Law and E-cigs
Then just go to youtube.com and put in the search for whatever you are wanting to know.

Hey Steve, last nite when the wife said she wanted another 3.7 box, I asked her if she would want to try something different, she said, "No!, I like this, I want another one". Needless to say, I didn't argue. Your 3.7v FBM makes her happy, and you know what they say, When mamas happy....... Thanks Steve!
