I want to post some info on what cartos to use on which box mods.

3.7 Box Mods are ideal with Low Resistance (LR) Cartos. I like Boge LR (2.0 ohm) or smoke tech dual coils at 1.6 ohms.

5 volt box mods work best at 3 ohm or higher. Boge Regular (range between 2.8 and 3.2 ohm) are what I use on the 5v box mod, but it does not hurt to use High Voltage Cartos or Attys in the 3.5 to 4 ohm range.

Attys can also be used with the same ohm ratings on each box mod.

I saw a question from one of my customers, and I was not able to post in the New Members Section.

It looked like he got some pretty good advice, but answers were all over the board.

I think it really depends on the juice, but the above info will work the best with the majority of the juices out there.

My personal experience with Bobas Bounty and Gorilla juice, is they like a 2.5 carto at 3.7 volts. I am guessing this juice would also be great at 4 ohms on the 5v box mod. I find that it burns with too high a wattage.

OH man! What I wouldn't give for a handful of those.. Brings back fond memories of my childhood, growing up around all types of orchards in Michigan. Plums, cherries, apples, grapes, peaches, it was wonderful! I'm salivating. Thanks Steve.

You're right on as usual Steve. I just got in some Smoktech 3.5 ohm single-coil carto's to try on the 5v box. The flavor changes enough to notice a distinct difference in the same juice between 3.0 boge vs 3.5 smoktech. It's like having a VV device without the expense of owning one. I am also enjoying a monster clear dual coil 2.5ohm 2.5ml on the 5v box. pretty awesome! Check out this pic..

The Report:

I am vaping using a 3.7 FBM with the patented "Bright ... Green" LED. I have filled a low-resistance mega dual coil cartomizer with KBV 11 mg. Ry 4.

It's amazing. Delicious, even.

Thanks Steve for a great mod at a great price. I really think LR cartomizers/attys are the way to go at 3.7 volts. Vapor is nice and warm, there's plenty of it even with high-PG juices and the flavor is spectacular.

What's the latest on the 18650?

Nuttin yet. I have one more on hand that I can build, but need to get a dremel tool to complete it. I am not happy with the size of the box, so I need to look for a better one.

Next Sunday I am going to my buddy's house that has the lathe, and we are going to work on the prototype for the wooden tube style mod I want to build, that will take an 18650 Battery.

I was wondering if that package made it to you or not. Did it look like they opened the package? I was worried. I never like to lie about anything, and labled the contents as batteries and a charger, worth $19 total.

I am thrilled the purchase was worthwhile for you. I hate having someone to pay $13 shipping when the distance is less than me shipping to New York for only $5.20.

I tried dripping again, and I hate the fact that attys leak, so I am back to using cartos. Why do atomizers have to leak so badly. Maybe i need to break it in. I was using a brand new LR 306 from madvapes. Any advice anyone?

After a long wait (thanks to the Canada Post lockout) I just received my 3.7v kit this afternoon and I am very happy with the quality of the product and my purchase.

Vapes well dripping with 510's and 306's.

I highly recommend purchasing one! Canadians purchase with confidence.

Thanks Steve!:thumb:

Any advice anyone?

I drip 98% of the time, and with the FoxyBox, the best way to prevent leaking that I've found is that once you see any sort of leakage, blow out the atty and re-drip. It is a little wasteful of juice, but then again, so can be cartomizers ;)

I'm not much of an engineer, but, do you think it's possible to develop a catch cup for these little suckers? Looking at the atty connector, I see that you coat underneath with hot glue/epoxy? to prevent leaking or movement of the connector itself. Would it be possible to fit a small cup in between the connector and the box instead? I don't know how or what could be used to construct something like that, but, it surely would be a fancy feature for us drippers ;)

No customs did not open the package.

Even if they would have opened it, there wouldn't have been any issues - there was no juice.

You didn't lie, there were batteries and a charger in the package.

Good advice from Levitas, I do the same when I first see a leak, I just blow the atty out and re-drip.

Its a finishing washer i got from home depot. There was one slightly larger than this one that was deeper, but it would have extended over the box, and it did not look right. I am going to have to use one of these on the wooden mod I want to make. I guess on the wooden one, I could router and dremmel out a juice cup too if I put a hearty finish on it, but I am pretty sure I just want to use wax. Manzanita is a very beautiful wood in its natural state with just a little waxy luster on it.
