I agree with you Ciego .. for the longest time, I wanted a REO mini .. now I have one and I have to say, after using a 5v foxy box, it's just a big let down. I mean, its pretty, yes, and well made, indeed. The juice feeder system is awesome, but the 3.7v hit is mediocre at best compared to the hit I get on my 5v Foxy Box. Certainly not worth the overbloated price of $130 -- in my humble opinion. I'm sure any REO owners reading this will attack me for saying so, but I will remind them, opinions are like ... holes, everyone has one and you don't have to like mine.

I've been promised a 18650 version too, Borockster, and I am really looking forward to having an all day vape. Is that a 5v? I think I am done with 3.7v ... nothing compares to my 5v now that I've gotten it. Everything just tastes so much better at 5v. The exception being my Go-Go and iGo -- which actually come in about 4.5v .. loving those too.

Now if I could just cure myself of this need to try everything myself ... I'd be set. Unfortunately, I don't trust the opinions of very many people, given their choices and my (mostly bad) experience with those things they rave about. Take dual coil cartos ... I just don't get it .. they taste horrible, and are made like crap, expensive and can't be re-used more than once or twice without having to replace the tube. I'll stick to my Boges .. I get consistent good taste and reusability out of them, and they only cost me $4.50 for 5.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hey Cleo, the 18650 mod is great for a need for a long lasting battery, but it is only 3.7 volts. You have to use LR on it to get a decent hit.

Oh, about the dual coils. I tried 2 of the clear ones. And although many love them, my results were mixed. I destroyed one trying to "wash" it because I put the wrong flavor in it. Man I was .......

However, you need to try the non clear dual coils. They really are excellent, and will deliver a bit more flavor to some juices than a boge 2.0. Not saying the extra money is worth it, just saying..... And you did say you had to try everything for yourself.

This Brockster Beast will be yours, but I need to get a dremel tool first, so hang in there with me on that.

Hey Ciego, thanks for the shout out. I am with you on the box mods. But then again, Its easy for me.
I worked all day today at my "real job" and then went out in a friends boat tonight on the Delta. It was about 80 degrees at 11PM out on the water. Anyway, I had 2 5v set ups and 2 3.7 set ups. I used up the batteries in the two 5v ones (had been using them all day) before even tapping into the 3.7 ones. Its nice to carry a few around.

For anyone that wants to stock up on some batteries, check out Deal Extreme. Free shipping and you can get the protected batteries I sell for under $6 per pair. Give it a month or a little more to ship though. They come from abroad.

Sorry I have not been too active on the forum. I have to get that figured out real quick. My office moved locations on the property this past week, and I lost my free wifi link. My cell phone is under contract and is not a smartphone. Arg..!
I may have to bite the bullet and get a smart phone with ATT or Verizon, or Sprint and get the internet on it.

I normally communicate from my Ipod while at work once in a while but at the moment I cannot. so i will be quite silent during the days Sat - Wed.

Cheers.

Steve

Replacement parts are very inexpensive (batteries and boge cartos, or any 510 atty)

The watermelons and potatoes may be a different matter. The Chuck is 6 volts and have heard you can run over it with your car.

But I do hope you splurge and pick up a 5v kit from me :D

Steve

Well dang. I might hafta buy a 5v kit once my check comes in, I need something a little hotter with cheaper replacement parts. Honestly, do you guys think it will survive a few months of being in my pants pocket while I throw pallets of potentially explosive watermelons and potatoes all day?

Well I don't know about watermelons and potatoes, but I am a very klutzy girl and I have dropped my 5v foxy box at least a dozen times now, on all different surfaces (carpet, hardwood floors, laminate, cement, wood) and every time I'm sure it's broken .. but I put it all back together and it fires just like new. They really can take a beating. And for the price, you can afford to replace it without too much worry too. Highly recommended.

Steve, I think you could just have your store/thread be open on Wed-Fri .. other stores have had to limit hours and it doesn't seem to have hurt their business at all. You have enough fans that we can answer questions during the times you are gone and inform them that you only take orders on Wed-Fri or whatever. Something to consider, anyway.

No problem waiting on the Borockster Beast .. love the name lol Too bad it's not 5 volt, but hey, can't have everything ... I do need something that will last all day though, and with a LR, the hit is pretty good on your regular 3.7v.

~inhaling caramel pecan cheesecake on a 5v as we type. YuMmY

As Steve said it's 3.7 volts. That worries me a little because I have been vaping at 5v exclusively since getting my Foxy Box. (boomchickawowow)

So...I ordered 2 4.8v batteries and a charger. If I can't hang with 3.7 + LR's then I can go the 4.8v route which will still be AWESOME!

I have tons of stuff in the mail right now....A revolution 2.1 that I got in the classifieds, over 300 ml of juice, 8 batts, a ton of DIY stuff and mod parts, and a SD (also from the classifieds). But I am most excited by the "Borockster" box from Steve! (what a name...I'm honored!)

BTW...I am currently destroying a 30ml bottle of warm sugar cookie....nothing better with coffee. Thanks KBV!

Hey Steve, I'm wondering if you are considering doing a VV, I'm thinking that's what I need now. Love your 5v and use it off and on thruout the day, but a little strong for me for constant use. Your 3.7 I use as my main vape. Thinking I need something I can set for around 4-4.2v, especially for times when you get a carto that's just a little weak on the 3.7v. I can't believe I'm actually considering selling off my GLV2 Mini. I like it, but it's down to the 3rd in line for use now.

I've bugged Steve about this too, I think it would be a great addition to his box line! Would you consider building a few VV's for trial? I would buy one, or three! Please?

I am aware of the variable volt kit that madvapes sells. Madvapes is most certainly where I would go to get the parts to build them. They are a fantastic vendor. I will think about it.

Steve

I will be at work today but will try to check in periodically for orders throughout the day.

I completely get where you're coming from about not having a smartphone & running a small business. I'd had an iPhone 3Gs since december 09 and it was amazing, but not essential to my lifestyle..then I started up a small eBay business a few months ago (Basically just selling old games, specifically N64 titles) and my 3Gs broke halfway through my business startup and I was used to having a smartphone obviously..tried throwing the sim in an older phone and I believe it was about..4 hours before I was at the AT&T store getting a 4g on a separate line so I didn't have to drop the full, yes I am not kidding about this number, $650 for an iPhone 4 if no upgrade is currently available.

I do not recommend anyone ever does this!

Craigslist and eBay are both great places to buy a smartphone as long as you do proper research on the product you are purchasing. You don't want to pay the retail price, but you also want to make sure you don't buy a stolen phone. (especially if you're on verizon; if you're on verizon MAKE sure the phone model has a clean ESN).

Craigslist will generally be cheaper, but have more scammers, more driving involved (I dont think i've ever done a shipping transaction with a craigslist buyer..I don't run my eBay business without Paypal so this is can be inconvenient)

Now eBay can be cheap AND guaranteed if you play your cards right, and this is the route I recommend.
~Power sellers are obvious, if someone has 3,000+ ratings; it's obvious they aren't just shelling out items they no longer have use for unless they're the biggest pack rat i've ever heard of.
~Power sellers will almost always be amore expensive, because the idea is that they know what their product is worth; but will have a descriptive listing much more likely to find a warranty and less likely to end up with a phone that hasn't properly described; aesthetics wise.

It's about shelling around in the water honestly:

If you try to win auctions on smartphones or anything on eBay really that are very low priced; likely sold by someone with no business interest in it just doing it for some quick cash - do not be surprised if the bidding goes from even something like $60 on a phone to $121.50 at the last two seconds.

Powerseller's know what they're looking for, know what it's worth, have done out there margins, and use something called a "Sniping" program which is essentially a software that gives you the ability to find an auction manually on ebay and input the item number in the sniping program, say it's worth X dollars to me (As a powerseller myself, they will know what their product is worth if they're remotely successful); but place said bid at 2 seconds left.

So wether it has 1 hour, 1 day, or a week; someone might have a bid on that item that is essentially "invisible" to you; which is why they are used obviously..Some believe it's in bad taste..my best analogy would be to use one of the opening lines from Rounders; a poker movie; but also just an amazing movie in general:

"Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker."

For some people eBay is just a fun; for some it's a business - I believe the same to be true in relation Gambling :).

Anyway, smartphone wise if you just want to go cheap - get a droid for cheap on eBay (I dunno if you're Verizon or AT&T but if you're AT&T this obviously isn't an option)..i'd say first generation droid in good aesthetic condition could be up to 120-130 depending on the listing..but you can essentially buy a phone from eBay for you know..not the rip off retail price and have them put your sim in it, get a data plan set up and you'll be good to go. I've sold MINT 3Gs's for up to 329.99 (not sealed but literally never used) but if it's a little worn you can probably get a 3Gs for $250-280 easily..my research isn't as concrete as this is a market im just expanding into but it's my interpretation. The AT&T store will charge you $450 for a 4Gs brand new unless they have dropped it since they last quoted me such ridiculousness. With the iPhone's it's waaaay more apple then AT&T with the pricing, apple isn't selling these things to AT&T at a low price ( Specifically the parts prices alone are 180~ on an iPhone 4, it's apple so I wouldn't be surprised if AT&T is only selling them at a $50 markup or so honestly..apple charges a premium because they have better programming then windows - it's as simple as that, be it smartphone or computer. For computers windows is built to work on a million different machines and most of what you install are known drivers popularly used by the general public. Apple is building the hardware and software in a centralized location where there can be communication between departments on how to better their product - hence the mac touchpad or even the iPhone. Android is good, which is why I recommended a droid or even a nexus one because thats their operating system; made by google. It's very user friendly, I personally am an apple person but the premium is not worth it to everyone and I understand it.

Smartphones are going only going to grow in my opinion, they're amazing. I can run my business on my phone, easily, from anywhere - due to 3g. The only other way to do this is the new tablet trend I believe, because you can get a data contract on them..but then you have a cell phone bill and a tablet bill - I have done not cost analysis on this but it's likely the most expensive route.
(I can't say it will be quite as easy on other smartphone models because I truly believe the iPhone 4 is the best smartphone on the market currently; but my business does not function without my phone. It's just as essential as having an internet connection to get onto eBay where all my business is done in the first place; in my opinion. I dunno, I personally get a lot of emails and to have them at my hand at all time just as a text is nice - i'm sure you get your fair share of PMs/emails as well)

Alright, rant done! If you want any help on this shoot me a PM, this is a forte of mine :).
