Yes, I am about ready to start working on a larger box that holds 2 18650 batteries. I am also working on some wooden tube mods that hold 1 18650. There are some sample photos a page or two back, from Friday and Saturday. I am probably looking at 2-3 weeks out on both the box mod, and tube mod. I am about ready to start working on a dual 18650 variable volt box mod as well. I just need to figure out the master switch. I am pretty sure I have to use the larger box without the master switch, and incorporate a different switch inside the box, due to the fact that the master switch that comes in that box is in the way of where the second battery would go. I also may be able to mount the switch on the inside of the box.

If you are in a hurry, I would definitely recommend a GLV2. KBV had some great photos of one in their thread yesterday.

Thanks for the support Hig!

Mr. Godzilla you are a god of Japan an California an customer service. I worship at my shiny new 5v alter as my city steams away in summer heat.
Been putting this new one through it's paces and well. It is just as solid as it looks and feels, yet elegant.
Anywho going into this new week what's your stock on those vv in the 5v case lookin like?

I just ordered a couple of different boxes to play around with, that I think will fit at least one 18650. I was pretty amazed of the life of one of those using an LR carto. The box I used just for one was quite large, so I am on the lookout for a little smaller box. Madvapes was out of the batteries I needed, so I will have to wait to test them until I get some. I have one battery but it is Dead after one charge. I will keep everyone posted.

Cheers

Steve - Not in a hurry and would rather wait on yours. I enjoyed the personal touch with ordering the 3.7 and 5v. I saw the pictures of the VV, I think it was. Made from wood and great for home, but wanted something smaller and 3.7 for work. I'll email you and get on a list. Thanks.

Hey Steve,

Sorry to hear about your layoff .. that sucks no matter what the reason. Don't let it make you feel unloved/unwanted/unneeded -- we all love/want/need you!!! And with the way I've been buying FBMs, no chance of your kids going hungry til you find a new job! I'm sure with your record, you'll find something soon. I firmly believe that when something bad happens to a good person, it's because something better is out there just waiting for you. If we didn't suffer a little for our blessings, they wouldn't be worth much, would they?

Sending you good vibes on the job search!

Put me on the VV list Steve no hurry at all, after you get caught up with everyone else :) Good luck with the job hunt, a guy that can catch 10LB bass oughta buy a boat and guide ;-) I had thought about it many times but fishing is one thing that is MY time, except when I take friends of course :)

Sorry to hear about the layoff Steve. Like Cleo said, it could be a blessing in disguise. (I got laid off a few years ago, and it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me, I have a MUCH better job now.)
Good luck!

I too am sorry you got canned, Steve. But, as lemon said, it is fate and will lead you to a brighter outcome, that I have no doubt :)

When I got laid off, it allowed me to finally do what I wanted to do, attend college. Which is what I am doing now :) Albeit, I am working at Dominos, delivering pizza in 100º weather just to make ends meet, it's well worth it ;)

Good luck Steve! When money gets better for me, I too want a VV box :D That would be super sweet to have while delivering!

Thanks everyone for your support. Interview this morning went well. I have another interview in a half hour with another Broker in about a half hour, so I will check in a little later and respond to any orders in a few hours.

I should have 10 more VV built by the end of the week.

I'm officially the proud owner of the very 1st VV build from Mr. Steve, and I must say I am impressed. Very good build quality and this thing is a powerhouse! I'm going to be playing with it later with different carto's, but so far I really like the ability to easily dial up or down as needed. It's amazing the difference it makes in the flavor and TH. BTW, 6v is way to hot for standard 3 ohm cartos... I'll report back with more later after I've had some time to experiment with it. Thanks Steve, Good job!

Just got my VV out of the box. I put on a 2.5Ω 808 carto loaded with KBV RY4. Fiddled with it for a minute dialing it in. Oh boy, that's nice! Great job Steve. As usual, a nice neat professional build. Just want to ask tho, The regulator(is that what it is) in the bottom corner, Gets hot, just how hot can that get w/o destroying itself?

Time will tell me thinks. The lower the voltage, the hotter it gets. I'm going to try some 4 or 5 ohm cartos so I run this thing at higher voltage to help with heat and battery drain. At lower voltages it's just pissing energy away in the form of heat. I'll report back my findings.

I had read about this, that the energy that is not being used when using it at lower voltages wastes energy in the form of heat through the voltage regulator/chip. Those boxes should be able to withstand the heat, and I tried to build them so the wires are not touching it. Its hot enough to burn your finger if you touch it. Not sure if it would melt wires in there. Time will tell. Madvapes sure is selling a lot of these though, so the info will be available here in the forum if there is any to report.

Glad you guys got your mods ok. I am going to do a lot of building tonight. I have some pent up demand for these VV kits I just got in today. I will list them for sale when they are finished. I will not take payment on a mod that I have not already built.

So I accepted the job at the second interview today. Granted, it is a job as an independent contractor, as a self employed Realtor. But it is my expertise, and it is what I have been doing for 16 years. The difference is, I have to go find the business and opportunities, rather than sitting in model homes for a builder, waiting for the buyer to come to me. I can work as little, or as much as I like. So I will have to start by working in open houses, holding houses open that other Realtors have listed for sale. There I can meet potential buyers that are looking for a home, that may not like the one I am holding. If they are not with an agent already, I get to become their agent if we make a good connection, which I am very good at. So, we will see. Its the Cobra insurance to the tune of $1250 per month that scares me. So, it will be open houses during the day, and mod building at night.

Cheers
