It sure sounds like your 1.5 hour commute could use a 3.7v bottom feeder with a freshly charged 18650 battery. You would have plenty for both commutes, plus your work day.

Imagine an ego with a 1.7v single coil carto (that is what I use on my bottom feeder) with a 6ml bottle attached to it. One quick pump is like putting 6-8 drops directly onto the coil in the carto. Its working sweet. No hastle. I just fill my bottle every 18 hours or so, and charge up my batt each night when I get home. Of course I carry an extra 3.7v charged spare batt and carto, but thats it.

What I was using before holds a 18650, and they truly are go-forever beasts. Definitely a wonderful battery to work with. And definitely been eyeballing those Foxy Customs... gorgeous pieces. Always wanted the hassle-free nature of a bottom feeder, anyways. But then again, 5v may have me ruined now. I know a 3.7v with a LR 1.7 on it should be about the same, but I may very well have found my sweet spot. But then I'd like to try a VV, as well. Man, I sure do want a lot! Decisions, decisions! Will have to start putting hints in to the wife soon. "Christmas sure is just around the corner, hun..."

I got home from vacation to find a wonderful package in the mail. Foxy wood mod #1 was waiting on me. I love it! I am not someone that usually likes box mods, but these have changed my mind. I used Foxy custom #1 all during my vacation and the wood fits my hand just as well. The button placement, size, and the finish on these mods could not be better. Great job Steve!!! :thumb:

Steve spoiled me with a custom VV box. Twin 18650 batts with VV is the king of vapes for me. If I had the same duration the twin 18650's give me with VV and a bottom feed I would probably vape myself unconscious.

So I got my order of Smoktech's in (more 2.0 dual coils and some 3.2 singles). The 3.2 singles are working much better than the Boge 3.0's. The filler material has a much tighter pack and a more consistent look when looking down the top. I use a syringe for my initial fills on the cartos, and with the Boge's, the needle always snags on the material and I get a string or two that gets pulled out when I remove the syringe. With the Smoktech's, the needle fits down the side very easily and I haven't had any snagging at all. Loving these things. :thumb:

I also notice the same. With boge cartos, it takes forever to get that juice in the carto on the first fill. with smoktech cartos, it seems the liquid soaks in about as I can drip juice in, whereas the boge, 4 drips then wait, 4 drips then wait. I am guessing that the filler is not so tightly packed in there on the smoktech ones. I could be wrong. maybe it is just a different type of filler.

That's actually why I used the syringe on the Boge's because when dripping it wouldn't soak up nearly as well like you experienced. I think it may actually be a combination of different material and not as tightly packed.

As a funny side note, I had been trying out some clear Smoktech 1.7 LR cartos on my KGO, and the other day I went to pull the drip tip off and the entire plastic housing popped right off the carto. I liked being able to see how much juice was left in there, but with the tanks now, not much of an issue. Won't be using those anymore.

I think I know why you ordered those 18350's. Make sure you have a spacer or two (if they dont come with the nipples)

Man, didn't think about needing spacers. I hope they fit. I'm curious to try the IMR's since they are high drain batteries. Will be interesting to see how long they last.

Foxy wooden bottom feeder #1 amd Foxy custom 5 volt #1 happy together. :toast:
I have to say for someone that never liked or used bottom feeders, I love this one. Looks great and works even better. No leaks and perfect hits everytime.
