Question about 510 to 901 adapter

There's a small indent on the top side (side the atty screws into) and it looks like you can screw or unscrew the loose piece inside. Is there a purpose for it? I thought maybe it could be used to stiffen the draw or restrict airflow. This particular adapter is from Altsmoke if that makes a difference.

Yep, that's what it's for. You can open the holes more, or close them up depending on whether you want a loose draw or tighter one.
