Hello,

I tend to add VG to my liquids as they seem to be a little harsh for me. Should I be adding a few drops of distilled water to the carto as well? Or mix up like a 6 ml bottle of VG and distilled water. If so what should the increments be? Would it have to be refrigerated because water tends to spoil if left out once opened? I have just been putting in a few drops of straight VG and am wondering if that might be making them run hot because maybe it is too thick. I also lose more flavor than I like but I suppose that would be the same if distilled water were used?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've used VG in cartomizers at concentrations of up to 50% and the thickness wasn't a problem.
(If you're using higher VG, you might want to thin it to ease wicking but it's easy to overdo it with distilled water or vodka or Everclear and get a runny juice.)
Dropping water into the cartomizer won't serve to thin down your juice because it won't properly distribute within the juice (you might just get layers of VG + water).

Bottom line, if you're just adding small amounts of VG to juice, you won't have a problem with cartomizers wicking.

Thanks Madame Psychosis. Most of mine come with at least some VG to begin with but depending on the flavor, I still need to add some. Usually three to six drops. You don't think that would make it too thick? I can't figure out why some of the cartos run so hot. It isn't because they are dry.
