I got my vivi nova minis in the mail today. Excited as always to try something new I opened it up, stuck on the 1.8ohm coil and filled her up. I chose the 1.8ohm because I've never used anything LR and I was excited to see what all the fuss was about. I used my ego pass through battery, 900mah I believe. I let the mini sit for 5 min to let the wick do its job and took two good puffs. The third puff failed. Nothing. The battery stopped working. The button didn't even light up. I couldn't get it to work so I put it on the charger and after about 5 min the button started working. Thinking the protection circuit kicked in I checked the coils with my meter. I checked all three that come with the Mini. To my surprise none of them read what was marked on the side. The were all high. The 1.8 registered 5.7ohms. The 2.4 is 3.6 and 2.0 is 3.0ohms. Can anyone explain to me what's going on here? Why they are so far off what's marked and why my battery acted the way it did.

Also, when every you are checking the resistance you must subtract the resistance of your test leads. Touch the leads together and that will give you a reading. When I rebuild my vivi's I use 32 ga nichrome. I Wrap 5 tight turns around 2 pieces of 1.5mm wick. That gives me a consistent 1.9 -2.0 ohms. after I subtract the difference of my leads.
