Rob are the backs on the new Grand's a little more rounded similar to the 2.1's and Is it safe to assume the drip well is also the same as the 2.1 ? Thx Boss
There exactly like the mini 2.1s The drip well on the grand is a whisker smaller then the 2.1s . Most rbas are built to fit the grands that shouldn't be a problem

Me too. Picked up a VVG that is perfect condition. And so well cleaned it looks unused. Got the VVG, an ERA rba, ....

Well. Maybe "perfect" was the wrong term. Buyer beware...

I removed the ERA from this mod and replaced w/ another rba. Very wobbly screwing on. Tried another, won't tighten. Another. Another.

It looks like the previous owner gripped the bottom threads on the ERA w/ pliers. Probably thought the cover unscrewed. Anyway, it screwed up the female threads on the VVG.

I hope Rob can fix this. I've PM'ed him. I know he's busy w/ the reomizer2.0 launch. Good thing I have multiple Reos!

That's sucks.

I'm not particularly sure about that assumption myself. People don't sell things they like very often. The fact is they are unloading a mistake of some kind. Sorry but always be careful and ask any question you darn well feel like when buying second hand. If they think you are a PITA move on. I learned this from 100s of e Bay transactions and things like threading on the enside of a sandle that will rub your skin to bleed are not mentioned. Or any number of little details that give a problem to deal with. Drip tip just too tight but fights with a fight or drip tip hole just too small for really nice dripping or slightly crooked when assembled. The colors are not as vivid as picture. They're selling it because it somehow survived some big stupid mistake but they are paranoid about it. It doesn't......or simply, they want a new one and it's a good deal. It's maybe 50/50 out there and the prices 2nd hand items are gaining these days I expect a lot. The fact the economy is bad has a lot of people shopping 2nd hand. It's made the prices go up and up due to demand. I've been shopping a lotofsecond hand for decades. If its not a steal better to buy new IMHO even if you have to wait two three weeks. It is easy to buy something like a Reo though because the good back up repair service they offer.

I'm not sure about it either. But after trading some messages and looking at the poster's selling history, I came to the conclusion that he did not know the extent of the damage. The ERA, especially this one, has tight fitting o-rings, I can see how someone would think the cap was threaded on instead of the double o-ring fit. Clamping down on it with a pair of pliers/vise-grips was not smart, but hey we've all done stuff like that...

The included ERA fits on the VVG solidly. If I hadn't tried a number of different devices I would've never known there was a problem.

Rob should have my VVG sometime on Monday. When he gets thru the reomizer2 launch and other stuff he is working on I'm sure he'll get me fixed up (he better charge me for it or he is crazy). That's one of the reasons I'm such a Reo fanboy. I have enough equipment I'm not worried about a new toy I bought. I was holding out for the super-secret P68, or whatever, but I couldn't resist.

Did I get burned? Yes. Was it intentional? I don't know. I'm going to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. To do otherwise would make me angry and that serves no purpose to me.

I have grown leery of the classifieds though. Too many inexperienced jerks trading their ridiculous priced mods has ruined what was once a good thing.
