Question about cleaning

I've been using CE4, Vivi Nova, and now Kanger Protank clearos. I've asked this on another thread, but I want to be sure of the answer, so I'll ask here: how do I clean these things, exactly?

I do not understand terminology yet, so I need instruction for dummies. I was prompted to ask this because I tried to clean one of my CE4s after loading it with disgusting liquid, by running some water into it. I loaded it up again and got absolutely no vapor. So I figured I must have ruined it somehow, though I don't know how.

I don't need anything too technical or advanced - just a basic cleaning method. Do I have to remove anything? etc.

With my Nova, I just disassemble it and wash everything with hot water and dish soap, then rinse well. I always put a new head on after cleaning.

I rarely clean my Protank (or other clearos for that matter...T2 being my favorite). Only if there's something floating around in there. Otherwise, I just put on a new head when taste goes bad.

As for changing flavors- doesn't bother me to have a spontaneous mix until the new juice takes over!
