May be harsh.... But I get tired of all the Anti vape/smoke induced safety FEAR. that we have to field questions on. Fact is SMOKE is a sign of danger. Your vaporizer will always be safer than smoking, unless your vaporizer IS smoking.

We are unreasonably afraid of our batteries, juice and everything else involved with vaping. Yet some of us spent 30 or more years, Sticking a fire BOMB,(lighter) up to our faces 20 or more times a day without a second thought. And the rest of us are trying to build coils with OHM rates as close to a dead short as is technically possible. Just so we can make a bigger cloud.

maybe you should only respond to the threads that won't make you tired ... I usually just have a quick power nap when I'm tired

For my no drama answer, get some Deoxit D100L. This stuff is designedto be used on non precious metals. Brush it on your batteries about once a month. I slather this stuff on my battery contacts and let them sit in my battery boxes until needed. Don't even wipe the stuff off.

I don't recall any cigarettes or cigars which exploded like a pipe bomb.

o_O

Why would you go there?

That was no better than the post you were reacting to.

Lighters ARE liquid pipe bombs. I've had countless many more explode on me than I'll ever have batteries explode. Hell, as kids, many of us used to throw them at hard surfaces to watch them explode. Plenty of us got chemical burns from handling them afterward also.

Side effects of starting to smoke long before maturity.

ETA... Someone who actually burned her face... With a lighter... lighting her cigarette...

Please note: I didn't have to stockpile these over time to make my point. A quick Google search more than sufficed to produced evidence of outcomes we constantly have posts warning about pertaining to batts, but have yet to see happen.

Why is this thread being derailed? They guy asked a legitimate question. Has gotten some decent advise and a couple of unhelpful responses. Can we let it go at that? If you want to debate the safety of modern lighters, I'd bet you could find a forum for it.
Agreed

Should have never been brought up here.

But since it has and battery safety has been compared, it's a good chance to bring a little reality.

Not one person has posted or found to post a picture of a vaper that looks like 2 face from their battery.

Though, that lady who's face was burnt off by her lighter has made news since vaping has been around. I'm sure there are others also.

When compared... even when "you'll burn your face off" is the topic of comparison... vaping is still a clear leader in safety and health.

Thinking or posting otherwise is laughable at best.
