Question about DC cartos and the correct batteries

Planning on buying some SmokTech 510 XL 1.5ohm Dual Coil Cartomizers, thing is im using a Chuck with regular 18650 3000mah trustfire batteries (the red ones), my math tells me that at 1.5 ohms x 2, the 3 ohms with 18650 (3.7 volts) will be a decent vape and most importantly, the batteries wont explode in my face, am i correct or do i forcefully need to go IMR?

I believe (correct me on this) a single coil 1.5ohm would be better for that 3.7v... I'm actually using a single coil 1.5 ohm with an modulating ego battery at around 3.7v and the vapes are better than the dual coils.

any decent (I use trustfire, surefire,panasonic, aw imr, ect) high drain 18650 can power single or dual coils just fine. I switch back and forth on cartos depending on my mood.
