Just for a frame of reference.

A sheet of ordinary printer paper is about .003" thick.

So when the difference of two batteries is .001" in diameter, it is about 1/3 of the thickness of a sheet of piece of paper.

To machinist, a good machinist, a perceivable difference. To ordinary humans, no, no difference.

LOL, yes its certainly sounding that way. My OCD had to ask haha..

No problem here for asking. I think it's OK to be other than "ordinary". That's extraordinary. But my suspicion is that if measured again, numbers might reverse at 0.001 inches. Even more so if I was using a 12 inch ruler to do the measuring - with a beer or two. Not that the measuring person here used such a method - but .001 is a close call. Again - IMO.
