Question about DIY mixing

Hello, new here and had a question for anyone who might have an answer.
I'm new at the DIY stuff I've got a 115ml bottle of Nicotine base its 24mg/ml with a 75% PG/25% VG premix.
I've also got a 30ml bottle of Flavor. I want to mix it in a 10ml bottle first to see if we like the flavor. Later I want to mix it in a 30ml bottle.

My question is how much flavor do I add to the base for a 10ml bottle. I know the flavor will bring the nicotine strength down but that's ok. I would like to bring the nicotine strength down from the 24mg base to about 18mg.

I appreciate anyone that can help me out . Thanks.
Dale

hey Dale,

I just started DIY myself. theres my disclaimer =D

all flavors are different, takes some experimentation to find out. once you get 5 posts under your belt, you can go in the DIY forum, folks have tried to make lists of what flavors use what percentages...

I decided to start even smaller- 3ml test batches, to see if I like the flavors I got. I decided to try 10% flavor, for TFA brand flavors mostly, im happy with the results. I maybe even could have started lower than that. after I found a few that I liked, I made some 10mls.

good luck!

Welcome Dale.

I would recommend downloading the EjuiceMeUp calculator. Great easy to use device. It's here:

eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

It's the industry standard IMO. All flavoring differs in recommended perecentages based on manufacturer and personal taste or recipe. Take a stroll over to the DIY section of eliquids and you will see names of flavor manufacturers TFA, LorAnn, etc.
Each has some threads dedicated to discussions of the flavor percentages recommended. If you buy flavs from Wizardlabs.us the recommendations are in the flavor descriptions; usually 5% to start.

Good Luck :)

Flavorings vary widely in their concentration, but I typically start at 3% and add from there until it tastes right. Some flavors work better at 10% or a little over. You will need to add unflvaored PG or VG to get that 24mg down to 18mg, though. If you were to try to reduce the strength with flavoring alone, you would need to use 25%, or 2.5ml in your 10ml bottle. I don't think any flavorings are going to be good at that percentage.

The general rule of thumb is to use 10% flavour and 90% base. Having said that it all comes down to personal taste.
You'll find that not all flavours have the same strength. Don't pay too much attention to the numbers just get any sort of atomiser that you can drip on and play around until like the result.
