I'm sure i haven't been the first person to ask this kind of question. Here goes.

How much 60mg nic base would i have to add to 30ml of ejuice to bring it up from 20mg to 30mg?

I'm not so great with math, but could someone explain how i would calculate this? I don't want to clutter the forum with question like this.

An online calculator would be nice, but an explanation on how to calculate this myself will work too.

Thanks!

I may be going about this the long way (math and I never did get along well) but from what I've learned on this site, here goes.

You have 30ml of 20mg liquid. 30x20=600. You want to make it 30mg. 30x30=900, so you have a difference of 300. 300/60 (mg nic base)=5.

Hope that helps for future reference and more importantly, I hope I didn't confuse you even more.

If you can convert "mg" from the horrible shorthand to the proper mg/ml things make more sense.

If you have 30ml of 20mg/ml, you multiply them together and the unit on the bottom of the fraction goes away, so 600mg of nicotine in that 30ml bottle.

If you add 5ml of 60mg/ml, you would be adding 300mg of nicotine. So you would have 900mg in 35ml so we divide those and you'd have 26mg/ml....so we know some of the math above doesn't check out.

But if you add 10ml of 60mg/ml, you would be adding 600mg of nicotine. Now you have a 40ml bottle with 1200mg of nicotine in it. We divide the 1200mg by the 40ml for 30mg/ml....which is what you want.

Total mg of nicotine divided by the total volume of liquid will give you the mg/ml, so if you remember that "mg" is a piss poor way to say mg/ml, then you should be able to get the math right.
