hello, i just tried to make my first clapton coil, and just now noticed that my drill doesn't let me change speeds, trigger is either on or fast lol, i noticed once its going fast i can kind of change it, but i cannot start off slow like in video's i have seen. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive drill that can do different speeds like this? i would definately appreciate it. second, i finished with what looks like a clapton coil, although the inner core seems to slide a bit too freely, does this mean its bad, or can i tighten it?

thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Not sure if all Ryobi are the same but the chuck on mine doesnt close all the way down, it's worth checking the chucks so you dont have to do the the dog leg in the end of the wire to grab it inbetween the sides of the chuck if you kno wha i mean.

As for the sliding clapton on the base wire what i do is twist the base wire and clapton wire together and insert that end into the drill, as you clapton that end will stay tight once you've finished becouse of the twist and then the other end if you clapton all the way to the end of your wire so the clapton wire spins off the end and breaks it will tighten up that end.
Hope that makes sense:)
Or use n80 as it is soft and so long as you clapton tight enough the wire wont slip.

Thanks a bunch I'm gonna go drill hunting tomorrow lol. Will take a lil practice on the Clapton's but all these different types of coils and how they affect the Vapor differently adds a new layer of fun to all of this lol.

Again thanks for the tips it is much appreciated!
