uzza, you are working on the premise that these are actual "Drip Tips" when in reality they are not. The reality is that these are Carto Tips and the name Drip Tips is simply another misnomer in the world of vaping. Quite similar to terms like .... plug or condom which would be better served and more accurately referred to as Air Tube Plug Cap or Carto End Caps.

I know of nobody that actually attempts to use the KR808 Drip Tips in a traditional fashion by actually leaving them on and dripping into. As well, after 100's of cartomizers I have yet to find a single Carto where the polyfill or atty wire was so high it impacted a fully inserted Drip Tip.

As for understanding the idea for using them on a Cartomizer....well there are already plenty of posts that delve into that subject. Perhaps you should chain vape a Wow Carto on a PT or 6v mod to see if it's all really a matter of aesthetics.

Good point about the misnomer. Which leads us to aesthetics, which IMO is really all it is, and is totally understandable.

As far as chain vaping, on a carto, if it's hot enough to be uncomfortable, you are ruining your carto. Getting it that hot is a moment of desperation, caused by a nic craving or a supply shortage, it's not the modus operandi of carto vapers - otherwise we'd all die from smoking cotton instead of tobacco.

I've got about 50 white V4L premiums with a ratio of between 1 or 2 out of 5 having the filler and wire sit too high to fully seat my V4L delrin drip tip. I don't care 'cause I don't use the tip on the cartos anyway.

I've got 50 greens and 50 blacks that don't share the problem, and I can share your sentiment of having been through hundreds without the problem, but if you've been through 100's of cartos you also know there is no such thing as a universal truth about these babies.

Well there's a 3rd of the problem right there uzza....stop buying White Premiums. :p Now let me give you all the reasons why you need to use a Drip Tip.........................................................................................
...........................................................................................................................................................
...........................................................................................................................................................
actually whether you use one or not is your choice and not something I'm concerned with.

Not that I'm particularly concerned with your reasons (that's not a slight, it's just like you said, I've been around the block and made my choice)...but you forget the OP, the reason for this thread was that somebody actually wanted input.

Chimchim's input, on the other hand, there's no arguing with that. Why use a drip tip on a carto? If you like the look and feel, no arguing with that.

Sorry...I have to disagree that is an asthetic thing to use a dt on a carto......I for one HATED having to carry an extra something to make sure that I could get the white plug off the carto to top off......in your pocket, you get poked with it when you sit down....put it in the purse....well, try digging around in a womans purse.....in a case...well, then it just rattles around scratching the nice finish on the batts. there is nothing easier than poppin off the dt to top off the carto......as for the asthetics...well, my main dt is purple....it is not always pleasing with every color carto....so no...it's not an asthetic thing. For some it may be, but that is not IMHO a "MAIN" reason for using one.

The only reason I can think of is if you just like the look of a drip tip. That's my biased two cents anyway.

If you like the look and feel, no arguing with that.

Look=Aesthetics
Feel=Ergonomics

So it would appear there is indeed 2 reasons.....and I would go as far as to note that there is indeed a 3rd reason...performance.

A DQQRWQB is a rare feat in the forum. It's roughly equivalent to scoring 3,333,360 points in Pac-Man.

Damn, now I want one! Even though I still have no idea what you're talking about.

And no, there's no problem w/ white cartos. That was just...a thing.

Meaning there was an issue and it's resolved? Or one of those 'you had to be there' things?
