Hi everyone, im kinda new to the whole E-cig thing.

I've had my E-cig for about 4 days and haven't touched a Analog since I got it (about a pack a day smoker for 5 years).

Anyways i decided to drip but i dont know when to re-drip. I use a drip tip and i never FLOODED my atty (i slightly flooded it where it slight gurgles but clears up in 2-3 drags) but never to the point where it doesn't work or leak on the battery. When do you know when to re drip? I do about 3 drops at a time usually when i feel it needs to be re-dripped such as loss of flavor (never had a burnt taste yet) (not sure how many drags but i would say around 20-30 2-3 second drags) Is this to little? I heard 2-3 drops for 6-7 drags so im a little confused about this.

Also about cartomizers, how do you know when they are full? Is it like filling a cartridge where once the cotton/sponge thinggy is slightly slushly its full? or do you add more too it?

Also i use 100%vg juice if this matters.

Thanks!

Regarding the redripping, I try to do it as the flavor fades just as you describe. How often between drips depends on how long the burns are. Short burns=more of them between drips for me. I'm using VG as well and there is some loss of vapor production as the atty dries. I tend towards short 2-3 second burns as it seems to distort the flavor a little less and get about as many draws as you do.

Sounds like you are doing fine.

Cartomizers I know nothing about. Hopefully someone will pop on and fill us in.

thanks for the reply nobodyatall.

I was a little worried that i might have been under dripping my atty because like i said, i heard people say 5-7 drags/puffs before they need to redrip another 2-3 drops and i've been going 20-30 drags/puffs before i feel the need to re-drip mine.

I guess its a big difference between our 2-3 second drags compared to some crazy 6-8 second drags.

Don't get carried away with numbers and counting drags, Keita. You'll develop an intuitive sense about refueling your drip tip. I go with vapor volume, when and if I consciously think about it at all. If you've never flooded your atty nor run it dry, more power to you. Sounds like you're not all that confused afterall--and that you're doing just fine. Enjoy it--don't worry about it so much. You'll hit the limits here and there; big deal. Small price to pay for being a certified drip-tip operator.

A cartomizer is the most singularly vile contraption ever inflicted on mortal man by Satan himself. You know when they're full when you remove the plastic stopper thingamabob from the business end, peer into the cauldron of pure evil (i.e., the cotton/sponge thingy), and recognize that you're standing on the very rim of Dante's Inferno, the point beyond which you abandon all hope.

I don't care for cartomizers. Yea verily do they sucketh.

I would guess you are right. As Brandon pointed out, the folks with the higher voltage equipment burn up the juice at a surprising rate. Removing your bridge will do the same. Not sure I like the results tho. Seems to make them a bit more finicky. A standard unaltered atty works fine for me. Less vapor with a higher nic content is the ticket.

Don't know about dripping.. seems like too much work for me. I'm using an eGo and with it in 3 piece mode with the PTB mod, a cart goes about 2-3 hours unless I'm hitting it pretty hard. When that happens the taste gets a little burnt and I put a few drops in the cart + one on the atty and resume.

I also just bought some cartos and am trying that out. All it does is move all the fiddly stuff (filling cart, drip on the atty, repeat) into a great big pita to fill the carto. After a minor flood on the first few hits (my fault, didn't blow it out), I've been on the same carto for about a day and still getting solid vapor and flavor. Still on the same battery too. I actually quit rotating the 3 piece eGos and went on the carto exclusive to see how long it takes to run it out. At this rate, I'll be filling up the rest of my cartos for a business trip I have coming up next week :D
