I am interested in dripping. Right now I am using the Evod protank mini. I like it a lot. I guess I need to purchase a drip atty. What flavors are good to drip and what flavors are bad? Like, how would you know if a flavor could be dripped? Also, what flavors are better to drip than other flavors? like tobacco vs menthol vs lemon or something. I am a little confused. Can all flavors be dripped? Can you tell the quality of the liquid better by the way it drips? I am just trying to understand all of this. I understand how dripping works, just not really, lol. Say i went into a vape shop and i saw something random that I wanted to try out, i bought the smallest qty for dripping...then how would this apply?

Thanks I know this might be stupid or could be located somewhere else but when I type it in a bunch of random stuff comes up and I cannot seem to navigate well. Thanks !!! :D

Any eliquid can be dripped. Dripping just gives you more flavor and better wicking, which means it's easier to vape high VG liquids than it is in a tank. (Tanks can have wicking issues with high VG liquids - drippers don't.) Also, you tend to go through more liquid when you're dripping, not less, because higher heat is (generally) being applied and the dripper is wicking more juice to the coil at one time. You use less liquid at a time, but refill more often, for an overall total of more juice consumed. All of those things are why most people drop their nic levels for dripping.... better wicking = stronger hit, and better wicking + higher heat = more juice being vaporized at a time.

I have found that PG has a much more harsh feel in a dripper than a tank, so I vape 6mg high VG liquids in drippers and 12mg, 50/50 liquid in tanks.

That's just my preference, though. Technically, you could drip 18mg 100% PG. I don't know anyone who would *want* to, but I'm sure someone does.

High VG can cause problems in a tank because it is thicker and doesn't soak into the wick as easily as PG. All current tank systems rely on good wicking to prevent dry hits. This is not to say high VG never works in a tank, but it depends on your particular device and technique. Its one of those things you learn with experience and finding specific tips for success.

In a dripper or RDA, you basically saturate the wick directly by dripping onto it. Wick performance is much less of an issue.

Dripping also gives you the "truest" flavor you can get from any juice, so it is easier to judge quality with them. I've had some juices that I can only drip, and very few others that I can only use in clearomizer due to my personal taste. Clearomizers can sometimes "mute" flavors, meaning that they become more subdued or non-existent. This can be caused by a few factors, but I think the main one is lack of possible wattage (or heat) from the coil. It gets a bit advanced from here, so I'll leave it at that for now.

If you decide to get an RDA, just remember to be safe and know the limits of your equipment. Research as much as you can, and if you have specific questions, someone here will be able to answer.

That is very helpful. Do high levels of VG mess tanks up because veg glycerine is thicker?

Since the liquid is intensified when dripped, in theory, if you did the taste test thing with dripping can you tell the quality of the brands between the way they drip?

LOL srry just like to do my research. If so, what would those indiactors be (atleast for you, maybe it is dif with everyone, is there a common denomenator with quality when it comes to dripping?

Waaaayyy over-thinking it. lol

You said EVOD battery with a PT Mini? Ok, if you are in at that level your safest bet would be to get into to dripping with a stock atty. Something like these: 306 Low Resistance Atomizer + Drip Tip - ecigExpress

Only $3.99 each and they come with a drip tip. :D ECX has cheap shipping too. You could get three of them, including shipping, for under $15.00

My concern is that if you walk into most vape shops and mention dripping, you are going to be sold on a super low resistance rebuildable setup in a big shiny dripper - none of which will work with an EVOD battery. Not very well anyway. Oh, then the mechanical to go with the dripper and... you will be walking out of the shop with $200.00 in gear and no idea why that just happened.

The 1.8 ohm atty at ECX is safe for your EVOD, includes the necessary drip tip, is cleanable and reusable, and you can get your feet wet with dripping without breaking the bank or getting in over your head.

As a 100 VG user I find it has little impact on tanks or coils wicks. What does have far more impact are the flavorings and sweeteners in any given liquid. Dark flavors and highly sweetened flavors crud up a coil more quickly than whether the liquid is high in VG or not.

I drip 36 mg 80/20. But that's in a mechanical with a 1.5 ohm atomizer, so I never break 9 watts. :)
