Hi all,

I recently tried the smokTech dual coil and really like it. Should I invest in a larger battery for my eGo if I intend to use the dual coils from now on? What I am using now is just the standard eGo batteries that came with the kit and they seem to drain faster while using the dual coil....or is it just my imagination?

Also...is it common to get DOA carto's? One of the SmokTech's was dead when I got it. Of course I figured this out after I had already filled it. What a waste of money on both the carto and the juice! I have contacted the vendor I purchased from and hopefully I will be sent another one.

Yes your eGo's will get drained faster as your pulling more current. If you have a 650 mah eGo and find that lasts you just below a day you can go to either a 900/1000mah eGo which should give you a little extra.
My personal fav's are the eGo pass through as they allow you to charge and vape at the same time.

DOA carts/attys are kinda common. I have received 1 here and there. Depending on the vendor and their terms/conditions/warranty you might be able to get a replacement

Some of the time you think you have a doa carto but all it is is the centre post is not down far enough to make contact with the centre post of the battery . You can check it with a multi meter or just try to get the post down a bit more . I put a blunt needle in the post and pry to the side slightly while pulling the blunt needle out . All you need for those cartos is a tiny bit down on the centre post . I use the mega dual coil cartos and they draw a lot of power . As your batteries age they do not last as long . I carry 4 1000mah ego batteries in a PCC so I am sure to not have to worry about it . You can drain a 1000mah battery with a MDCC in 4 hours if you vape on it enough less on an older battery .

I use The SmokTech DC and am very happy. Using 3.7 Volt 2400 mah batts. With DC 100 mah = 1/2 Hour Vaping time. With single coil 100 mah= 1 hour vaping time. Make sure you recharge your batts when they are at 25%- they last longer. Yes I had some duds but it turned out the pin needed lifting. I love the DC's and my next step will be using a tank.
