I have been filling my cartos and letting them drip excess into a condom so I don't waste my precious juice. Sometimes the excess juice will sit in open air in the condom over night, and partially through the next day (as I'm trying many different juices at the same time). Am I wasting my time saving the juice in the condom? Does the nic and flavor evaporate while it's sitting in there?

No, it won't evaporate or go bad but why not just put it back in the bottle or top off your carto with it?
I usually do, but I'm still trying flavors, so I find myself sticking to certain flavors some days, and sometimes the carto is still full and it just drips back out.
Is there a way to get it back into the bottle without a syringe?
Just take the dripper tip off the bottle and pour it in. I squeeze the bottom of the condom cup to get every last drop. 
What you're doing won't hurt anything. You could try squeezing the condom together and pouring it back into the bottle. Remove the dripper off the bottle first.

Not an idiot. Just inexperienced.
I will say that I'm really loving vaping, and I'm learning so much as I go. There's so much to learn. It's great to have such a great community of experienced people willing to share opinions and experiences. This is the way life should be.
By condom do you mean the little rubber caps that come on the end of the carto's? or is this something i haven't seen yet?
