Greetings! I have a very important question , i have a nitecore intellcharger i2 ( not new version ) and i worked fine for few weeks. but today i tried to charge my batteries and noticed what the one of the 12v adaptor's wire is like haning there. So can i use 5v charger with higher amperage to charge batteries? will it even work?

Only use a charger designed to charge lithium batteries. Charging at 1A or lower will take longer to charge but is better for the lifespan of batteries.
why? when you charge battery through usb port it delivers the same power

Okay, well neither scenario is ideal, you can replace your charger fairly inexpensively, I've seen some under $20 (not a brand I recognized, but advertised as being able to charge LiIon batteries, and I guess if you must use your USB port in the meantime...
Best of luck, I honestly would replace a charger rather than trying to repair it.

I agree. OP, don't be a cheap skate. Spend $20 - 30 on a new charger and avoid being on the 6 o'clock news.

If you know what you're doing the wire can be fixed, however splicing the wire isn't difficult but needs to be done with quality solder and keep the splice protected. You'd need appropriate sized shrink tubing for each internal wire and one for the outside.
In other words, if you don't have the abouve it'd priabably be cheaper to contact Nitecore and buy a new adaptor or charger.

It really shouldn't be that much. Google it and see. I don't think my newer 2bay intellecharger cost more than $25 if I am remembering correctly.... Although if mine broke, I might go with an Xtar charger, you can check the sites that sell genuine batteries on Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum (Sorry, I don't know how to load the chart) as well as amazon etc.

i secured the wire with electrical tape for now , i don't know how safe it is but i will get replacment of the adaptor soon.
what ampreage i should get for 2 18650 batteries?

Seriously, if you're charging batteries with a damaged cord, you can't be sure that it's receiving the proper current.
As much as you don't want to hear it, you shouldn't be using it. Tape or not, there's a chance of a short. I have no faith in using electrical tape as a full on repair option.

You mean my method of twisting the wires and wrapping with electrical tape is no good?...
Probably would be cheaper to get the new version for $10 than the cost and shipping for a new adapter:

If you are referring to the 5v USB OUTLET on the charger, it is for supplying power from a battery in the charger to ANOTHER device.
(cough, clrs throat)
I think, maybe, you can get another adapter at just about any place. Best buy, etc, just make sure the specs match your old one. Should be on the back of the adapter.

If you can charge the battery inside of your mod, I would do that while waiting on a replacement.
