Question about importing flavors

Hi,

Newb here, but I've searched alot and haven't found the answer to this one.

If I want to order only some flavor concentrates from let's say Perfumer's Apprentice, would there be a problem at customs?

What I want to know is can they block my shipment if there's no hardware and no nic in it, just some flavor concentrates?

I've ordered from TPA, Flavours, mixing supplies, empty bottles and 32OZ of PG in one big box with no problems at all. It looked like a mad scientist project when I opened the box

With TPA you might be tempted to take the cheap UPS shipping, but be prepared to pay UPS an extra $25 or so (?) at the door unless you have a plan to customs clear it yourself.

Next time I order it will be a larger one and I'm taking the non-UPS option instead. :/

No duty added though...I don't know if it's because we don't usually pay tax on unprepared food anyway or if that's normal. I don't do a lot of cross-border shopping.

This is exactly right! Avoid using UPS or Fed Ex when importing because you will get slammed with a large COD bill as I did last month :S ... However, when using United States Postal Service or UK's standard postal service, I did not incurr a single extra charge...

I made a very large order with TPA early last month and while it took approx 2 weeks to ship and clear customs, I received it, along with several others from the US without a problem.

ups and fedex are expensive when you choose the cheap shipping option, ground. if you choose air the brokerage fee is allready included, ends up costing about the same total and you get your shipment way faster

If you keep your order at or under $20.00 you do not pay anything on delivery with UPS ground. I know, under $20.00, right, like that's going to happen...
