Question about Mechanicals

I was wondering what would happen if you had a mechanical mod with a battery inside, and the fire button was held down. Would their be any electrical danger if it was just the battery inside the mech with no atomizer attached?

No. Without an atty there's nothing to complete the circuit unless of course a piece of pocket detritus got into the connector or there was a short in the mod itself. It's much better to lock the firing button while it's in your pocket and take the battery out for storage.
