I've been doing great since i got my Joye eGo and started refilling, but I'm still a newb so to satisfy my curiosity i have a question for the vets.

On analogs i was at about 1 1/2 packs of Camel lights daily, heavy deep inhaler. Assuming i still want my nic, but not the smoke tar and carcinogens, what mg level of nicotine do you think i should be looking at?

Thanks

Cool....looks like i'm in the right place then. I was thinking i would rather aim low and drag on my PV more often, rather than getting to high a level and being tweaked out all the time. So I picked 18. Like I said i've been doing pretty good. I still do occasionally get the urge for an analog though, mostly cuz I can't figure out what to do with all my Zippo's now that i'm vaping. ROFL.

Anyone else with an opinion feel free to fire it out there

That's relatively heavy smoking--like I used to do.

There's no predicting how any given biochemistry is going to settle into vaping as a nicotine source, so be prepared for some trial-and-error. FWIW, I started with 24mg. After a month or so, I throttled back to 18mg., and it's worked well for me. No nicotine deprivation, no headaches.

This is something similar to what I asked about in another post, there is no conversion chart available so I'm gonna make myself a project and do so...it will be labeled as guesstimates and disclaimed with YMMV (your mileage may vary) and BTSOM (beats the shioopst out of me)
Will start with known levels (mg's) of general cigs and suggest levels of A) in the ball park B) ok, but.. C) yeah, on a good day... sound ok?

To be honest, I didn't notice a difference when I dropped down to 18mg. 24mg was definately not too much--but that's just me. I'd have been willing to experiment with 36mg, had there been a need.

I know perfectly the draw analogs still have on you; I still occasionally find my right hand reaching for my left shirt pocket, where the Marlboro's used to live. Yeah, a 24mg, 3ml experiment wouldn't hurt, but you might want to just give 18mg some time.

Everyone is a little different, so it's hard to say what will be right for you. Order some samples in a variety of nic levels to find what will work best for you. I was a pack a day Marlboro light smoker for 20 years. I started with 18 mg and had to go up to 24 mg. (I'm now down to 10 during the day and only use 24 in the morning). Some on here were 1/2 pack ultra light smokers that needed 24 mg, and some were 2 pad smokers that were fine at 18.

It really just depends on you. Don't be afraid to experiment a little, listen to your body and you'll find the right fit.

Good luck!!

I tossed this around a lot and settled with 12mg so I can chain vape. I've found 12mg to be perfect for me just because I like the act of vaping and I can do it more often without worrying about nic OD. Plus it REALLY helps with kicking the analogs.....whenever I get the urge I can vape.

I'm so DONE with analogs, I can't stand the smell of them now and it's only been 18 days!

I made the mistake of starting too low. I smoked just over a pack of Marb reds a day and when I got my kit I got the 8mg. I found myself ok for a few hours vaping but then cracking and having another analog for a few days. I just got some 24mg and 18mg and can really notice a difference. Not so edgy and whenever I want to crack and go have a smoke I just vape for 10 mins and life is good again. I haven't quit quite yet, but I am down to about 4-6 analogs now and feeling a lot better about myself.

I agree with the:
Make a sampler purchase and choose 18, 24 and possibly a 30. If you have found a flavor you know you like then do them all in the same flavor. By using dans calculator you could then mix them together to get differing nic levels.
Here is his calculator, it is under his sig line....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-added-quantity-calculations.html#post2047359
Use section 4 or 5 to get the results.

I used to smoke 1 to 2 packs a day myself. Yesterday I started out with 24mg and was hitting it pretty hard until I noticed my pulse rate starting to go up so I backed off for a while. I thought it was too much for me, but today I've been using it just not as often and all has been great. I guess I was really enjoying it a little too much yesterday. Anyway, I have caught myself reaching for my now non-existent pack of smokes, but I think it was out of habit more than anything else. I haven't had one since I got my kit yesterday and 24mg has been keeping the cravings away very well. Whenever I start to get those feelings I just hit the 510 until it goes away and life is good. My problem is I like the taste of the juice and want to do it more. Maybe I should make some low nic just to vape a lot and drip the higher stuff to keep the demons away..lol
